These lights are very nice and easy to control. They look amazing. The only drawbacks are that the lights don't sync with movies as easily as the description suggests. Some of the better functionality of the lights comes through third party apps. It would be nice if there were more preset scenes.

I've been using the white Hue lights for a while now and wanted to upgrade to the color lights for sunrise wake-ups, mood lighting, etc. Although having the color lights is probably an unnecessary luxury, the Hue lights in general are a must-have for any smart home in my opinion.

We bit the bullet and spent the money on this light system to hook up to our Echo Dot. It did not take much tech savvy to set up the system. I had it up and connected to the Echo Dot through the Alexa system in around 20 minutes or less. I would recommend some of the other apps that are available to control the lights. I am using the All for Hue and the hue maniac. We love the hue maniac for the music party mode. The light control is amazing for all the different spectrum you can chose to use for each room. It is nice to just call out for the lights to come on in the room. Play with it, there is so much you can do with the lighting.

Had difficulties setting up with our bridge. But once we were able to get the bridge going they have worked great. The colors are amazing! Love the way it works with Alexa (Echo or Echo Dot). These are expensive lights, but I trust Phillis has built a fine product that will last for many years.

I think the hue lights are great, you can find apps that connect to them that are pretty awesome.

My sweetheart and I purchased the Hues lights a couple of months ago. She likes the lights off at night when we watch TV, I like them on. The Hue lights allow us to have a happy middle ground by choosing colors such as Savanah Sunset that gives our place the exact glow that you would get from having a nice fire going in the fireplace. So many colors, so many features. We are very pleased.

Let's face it, nobody really needs color changing smart bulbs. That being said, the Hue kit is fun! I have some basic on/off automation through an Insteon system. This works great for day to day timers and basic automation. The Hue kit allows me to control additional lights and change their color as I wish. The ability to choose various tones of white to fit my tasks is a nice and useful feature. Adding the ability to change colors is just fun. It is nice to change colors to change the mood of a room. The multi-color scenes are also nice. So far, the system has been reliable with no problems with connection or function.

I love how bright and true all of the colors are! My girlfriend and I love playing with all the different options and it's super easy to set up. We use our's with the amazon dot.

Seems expensive at first glance, but Hue lights are the best decision I've made in my house, period. Being able to correlate mood with the lighting is amaaaazing. Get these.

I’m in love with this product. I’ve only had it for a few days but enjoy the fact that I can have the lights come on when it gets dark, which enables me to come home to a lights. I also really like being able to change the light colors to enjoy soft lights before bedtime.

So call me a lazy bum! I love the colors esp the blue and red for night time. Plus not having to get up to switch a light has come in handy. Sure these jokers are expensive and I wouldn't have gotten them if the GHome/Chromecast bundle wasn't so nice, but I'm glad I did.

Easy to set up with home internet and Hue app. Love how you can get the exact brightness and hue you are looking for. Kids love when I turn on the multiple colors at once.

I like these light bulbs a lot but the hue app is severely lacking. All I wanted was to pick the colors for my bulbs and set an on and off schedule. I had to use the third party app hue switcher to accomplish this simple task. So far the bulbs have been good though.

Quick and easy set up. I love the ease of changing color. Only problem I had was trying to set up and name each one, hard to figure this step out. Otherwise, very happy.

My kids got this for me with my Google Home. Hooked it up and works great! Easy to program and set lights to any color. Great for setting the mood when watching movies.

Setup is real simple. The bulb has so many color options and quickly turns to the color of your choice through the app. It responds to commands both by Siri and Alexa!!

The lights are bright and have great color accuracy. Hardware: The light bulbs have a heft to them and feel like a quality product. The bridge on the other hand feels cheap. I also tested the range and I was disappointed. I'm confused on how the system works, is the bridge controlling the lights directly or is the bridge controlling the lights through your wifi? I'm in a dorm and I was having trouble with the range. I wonder if you could use lights throughout your house using one bridge. But for my use with 5 lights it is perfect. Software: Awful. The app it terrible. I suggest several third party apps; huedisco, OnSwitch, and HueParty. And although the app is poor, I did appreciate how fast I was able to update the bridge and light bulbs when prompted. If you're on the fence about buying these lights, just remember that they are expected to last 14-18 years and they are a great party trick.

I was sceptical at first, the price is slightly high as well, but the lights look awesome. Great color, and you can really accent rooms and lamps with these.
