Philips Hue lights are definitely a lot of fun to play with. Although manufacturer app support is limited, there's an array of third-party apps that fill the void. I primary sync it to my Google Home and use it to turn on and off the lights. Setup was easy. Once you get this thing in your home, the possibilities are endless. Try the blue light while watching a movie!

These lights are really enjoyable. it's surprisingly fun to swap the colors. I have them synced to both Homekit and Smart Things and they work pretty well together. The Philips app is really bad so I got a third party app to better configure things (free on app store). Now that everything set though it is nice to be able to 'decorate' with light.

Very expensive but nice to have. Set up was smooth and easy.

This is a great starter kit to begin automating your home lighting. I've been using the Hue app on my phone for a couple years now. I needed an upgraded bridge to work properly with Alexa in order to fully utilize this functionality. I love being able to turn lights off and on remotely. I highly recommend you give this a try!

The Phillips Hue starter kit was easy to set up. It's great being able to control my lights with my Google Assistant. I'm able to change the lights according to my mood. I highly recommend the lighting system.

These bulbs are efficient and easy to set up. The color is novel and can sync to your music or movies through specific apps.

These lights are very easy to connect to the HUB. My only complaint is the price, I wish they were a little less expensive.

match with smart phone and google home apps very easy to use and having different colors mode makes my game room more enjoyable. just hope they would lower the price so i can replace most of my lighting.

Upgrading from regular light bulbs to these is all about flexibility. I remember when dimming the lights or buying black lights were the only options for changing the mood in a room. Now the ability to choose any color on the fly takes it to the next level. One of the best things about these lights is controlling them with a phone or a tablet by using an app. There's the official Philips Hue app but there are others that make the lights even more interactive as well. This is great for people like me who are physically disabled and can't reach the lamps themselves to turn the lights on and off. The accessibility of these lights gets even better when you connect them to a smart home hub like Google Home. Just by using my voice, I can turn them on or off, change the brightness and change the color. They've proven to be very useful to me. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because Philips Hue hasn't updated their app to work fully with Android 7.0 Nougat. At this point, the GPS settings don't work in their app so I had to set up the IFTTT app to get the lights to turn on automatically when I get close to home.

This is exactly what I was looking for: lights that I can control with my phone, with Amazon Alexa, or with a timer through the Hues app. My lights turn on when I come home and it is after sundown, they turn off when I leave, and I can change the color or brightness. Plus, they are super energy efficient!

My fifteen-year-old grandson insisted he wanted this, in spite of my attempts to dissuade him. He had some trouble understanding the part of the directions that essentially had him hook-up the light system's router to our household wi-fy modem, but with some persistence he succeeded. He easily synced his I-phone with the light system. Now two lamps in his room and a strip of lights along the wall can display a pleasing steady glow, or vary colors. He is happy with results and his friends were impressed. I would recommend this for the young, and young at heart, with one caveat. Blue lighting disrupts sleep patterns, so could be an aide to help stay awake to study, but would be a detriment in a baby's room.

I bought the Hue lights with the google home to give me mire control over my home lighting. And it does exactly that. It has a wide range of color options so no matter the mood yoh want to set it'll have something of your taste. And the app give you so much more control even when your not home.

I thought I'd be very conservative and start out with one Hue's Color Light starter kit. My thought was that this is all I needed...right? Once installed I loved it so much that within 2 weeks I had purchased 4 echo dots, 16 different kinds of light bulbs (both colored and white). I still have a few things on my wish list...but what a great addition to my home. There are only two areas that you might want to consider: 1) It isn't always convenient to carry around your iphone all the time to control the lights....the echo helps with that...you can use voice command and 2) There is a slight delay, so using these for bathrooms or hallways might not work.

We love the Philips HUE Lights they replaced similar WIFI lights we had that were not as bright as we would have liked. The Phillips have a broader rage of whites and warm tones than the ones we replaced. Also the fact that we don't have to turn the lights off when we leave or on when we get home (it does it automatically when in range) make it all worth it. Also works effortlessly with google home too.just tell google to turn the light on it does, dim the lights they dim. Tell it to change colors that works also. Now I'm advertising for google home so I will stop. All in all they are a great buy I am actually getting another one for another lamp in the kitchen.

As a fan of lighting, this system is such a nice statement to have in my apartment. The degrees of intensity and the broad variety of colors is so fun to play with, but also very calming and mood-fitting. Lastly, being able to have it on my phone, makes it so convenient!! Love it.

Bought this kit to get my smart light setup started. The bridge is very easy to setup, have one of these lights on top of my kitchen sink and one outside (not recommended to be used outside but I have a glass cover on the bulb so) works great with my google home setup.

The good – great colors. But make sure to get Gen 3. They don't do a good job distinguishing between Gen 2 and Gen 3. The give-away is Richer Colors listed on the box. The bridge can accommodate like 50 bulbs so one started back allows you to add as the budget allows. Unfortunately all of our rooms have 4 can lights so I had to buy an extra. Not a problem but I would have liked all 4 in one box. Lots of creativity and seems easy to build on. Also planning on adding ribbon / strip lights into the system. The drawbacks is the app is horrendous. Expected more scenes. App is very disappointing. There are 3rd party apps but I have not had a chance to look into it. Philips is foolish. A better app would have generated more interest on my part and made me buy more bulbs sooner rather than later. Spend money and build a decent app and hook all of us looking to buy more of your product. Not good business smarts. I probably will buy more but the interest died when the app flopped.

These smart home items (I.e., Phillips HUE Whites/Colors) are fantastic. Easy and cost effective to set up. Although the rumors suggest using these smart home tools will save yea a few hundred a year, I still find there unique ambient intelligence features an A+.
