You definitely can do well to just have home automated lights that turn on when you get home or randomly activated to make it seem like you are home, but the lighting is a whole new dimension in living. Mood lighting at the flick of the app really enhances movie night, dinner night, and play time.

I think the product marketing is good but the delivery of the experience is so so at best. It does work but the app for your phone/tablet is not all that! Confusing interface and not very intuitive. I think once the novelty wears off you will be stuck with overpriced light bulbs!! Do not spend a lot of money on buying more bulbs to add to your system its just not worth the price!

I got this with a package deal with Google Home. I love it! I have this running a bunch of Hue lights in my home. The ambiance is awesome. Everyone who comes over comments on how nice it looks. I've long been a fan of colored lights, but being able to control them with my voice is super cool.

At first I was not sure because they are not great in fixtures but more so for lamps around the house. i used one in the livingroom, office and nightstand. I set them on timers so they come on when i go to the gym early and when i am headed to the office. Once i ised them for what they are I love it.

I purchased this kit to integrate with my SmartThings hub and Amazon Alexa. It does indeed integrate but requires a bit of fiddling to get 'right'. The integration with Alexa is spot on (no pun intended) you can voice control everything - on/off, color, dimming etc. The Smartthings Hub less so. If you are not integrating into an existing smart home solution this is a very nice option, if you are integrating, be prepared to fiddle with it

It's nice having lights on when you get home and being able to adjust them while you are out.

I don't like traditional lights so I knew I wanted these or the light strips. The amount of light strips I would have needed would be a sky high bill but these as an alternative was the best thing I could have ever done. They're my party lights, relax lights, work lights and romantic lights

It is intuitive. I was concerned it was going to be complicated to get started setting up or changing the colors. It isn't. The subtle ways you can alter the colors is perfect. The only down side is the $ of each bulb. It won't stop me carefully choosing more for the rest of the house though.

It give you a fun time playing with colors of your lights. To expensive

They do what they say they will. Not the cheapest bulbs but they respond instantly and with hue supported apps, you can have them mimic the color scheme of any movie your watching. Fun for that type of entertainment, if that's not important go with the ambiance or regular white Hue bulbs

Bought this starter kit as an addition to my Son's Google Home. It was easy to set up, and is a fun toy. Every once and a while it gets "glitchy" but usually will either reset itself or just turn the power off to the bulbs for a minute and it seems to reset itself. My 9 year old loves it!

These are so cool. I'm pretty weird about the color temp of my lights and these make it so you can personalize them to exactly the way you like it. I'm telling everyone I know about how awesome these are. Also, you can control these from away from home thru the app. Pretty sweet!

got these for my room. and they're so easy to set up and connect to your phone makes it so simple

Hue delivers exactly what it promised. I was able to use this starter pack along with other Hue lights to turn my house into a smart house. These work really well with Apple Home kit and IFTTT. I only got the full color for my living room though and really only use the white settings.

Bought this laptop primarily for work but also for leasure. It is really fast and the added fingerprint sensor is a very nice addition to unlock the laptop. Great storage options, responsive display. Only complaint would be the need to use a micro HDMI to connect but it's a non-issue.

Love these. Simple to use and love the fact that I can be gone from home and cut my lights on and off.
