BSR had a lighting system in the late 70s and 80s, that inabled you to control your lights and outlet remotely. It required you to replace switches and plugs. After they took that product off the market there was a void. Well now lighting is better and simpler.

I read several complaints about the Hue app, but it works fine for me. I am mainly using it for turning on lights in my house and setting them to cool colors (for relaxing, watching a movie, etc.). Much more fun than plain old white lights, and an amazing array of possible colors. Most importantly for me, I also wanted to be able to control them while away from my house, which I can do easily with the standard Hue app and online MyHue registration. Lights are not cheap, but I think they'll last a long time (hope so, anyway!). I'll probably get a few more lights for other areas of the house.

I can turn these off with Google home and they ate a lot of fun kind of expensive

The only downside to these bulbs is the cost, but they are absolutely awesome at what they do. Coupled with a google home lighting is fun and effortless. The color is bright and response is fast. If you get a few, you'll definitely want more.

The lights are just great my friend who is not that literate with electronics is able to work these very easily and program them to their phone very quickly are is nitrogen come in there voice actuated and less you’re not coming to a dark house

This is the easiest way to control the smart lights in your home. You can also group light locations, for example all the lights in the basement can be turned on/off all at once. The app is awesome and Amazon Alexa integration is really nice!

I was reluctant to purchase these because they are a little expensive, however, I found them on sale and couldn't resist. My wife and I love the hue lights and would probably replace all the bulbs in our home with these if we could afford it.

These lights have vastly improved my life with my relaxation time. It’s so nice to be able to call out to my Alexa and switch the colors or turning them on and off. I am up to 16 lights and will not stop until my whole house is done.

I saw these in the store and got a guided tour of the system. I started out with 3 bulbs to try them out. I never thought I would see the day when I would spend 49 dollars for a light bulb. Unlimited colors, hues, light intensity all completely controlled from my smart phone, I Pad and Pods. You can even control the system while you are away. Amazing. I am outfitting my entire home with this system . There are also white only bulbs that can be intensity controlled. I won't attempt to get technical. Research yourself and go from there..

Was hesitant , but after purchasing I instantly fell in love. Paired with a Google home , even with a basic setup it's easy to achieve fantastic results. My wife was unconvinced in the store... She now absolutely loves them.

I was one of those people who said who the h$** needs one of those.. And got it for my birthday. Now, I am one of those who says if you can afford it, you must have It! I love having the option of controlling my lights from home, setting times, and dimming the lights. Changing the colors. And you can only build on from here! This is the start point. It has not raised my light bill, in fact, it remains the same. It has increased my laziness a little bit, haha! I enjoy them as well as my husband and children !

The ease of setup for the A19 starter kit was done in a matter of minutes thru the google home app. Very responsive and the color spectrum is so immense I set it to colors that enhance my mood and is just as advertised.

Setup is very easy. This system integrates easily with amazon Alexa and HomeKit for iOS. More often I use the actual Phillips app. You can check the status of your lights remotely as well as control them. Set up location awareness so when you come home or leave lights turns on based on the settings in the app on your phone. The bulbs are roughly 60w equivalent. For white I typically set to the concentrate scene. The color scale is decent. As these lights should last for several years I am happy with the purchase.

Love this product. You can change the color by saying a couple of words. They can be turned on and off automatically (by setting up third party apps) when you arrive at and leave home, respectively. This is amazing.

I had the first generation of Hue and decided to upgrade. Wow!! Such a mug difference in the colors. They are more vivid with these lights. It’s also nice to use Apple HomeKit and google Home to control the lights.

With the Huey app you can sync anything you point your Ipad at to your lights--including your television. Great product, and I never realized how much changing the color of your room lighting can set ambiance!

You never realize how much you are going to use these things until you put them in. I have my entire living room area lit up with hue as well as my bedroom lamp. The ability to change colors when the mood strikes, and to control all my lights via voice with amazon echo, is basically my childhood jetson's watching dream come true. Home automation is a pricey hobby for now, but I don't regret a penny of it.

I have wanted these bulbs for a while now. I bought the starter kit and 2 more bulbs for two rooms total. $400 later and it seems like it's hard to justify spending that much but they are incredible. Its annoying buying different wattage bulbs to get desired brightness. With this kit you get full color control and dimming available from your phone, the lighting is always perfect for any occasion. The ability to make changes will have you feel like how did I live without this product?

Great Product. Many options. From the bedroom going downstairs you say Ok Google and lights on in living room in the morning. You can set lights on at different times while away for any amount of time.
