Very bright easy to control with alexa. Definitely recommend the bulb

I'm adding these lights into my home slowly but surely and I love how easy the setup is

I purchased two of these to go in my bedroom. Setup was easy and they work as promised.

This bulb can dim down to be a night light in my kids room.

I love my Philips Hue lights. They work great with Amazon Echo and Apple HomeKit.

We purchased these to use in the bedroom. We have Philips Hue Color lights in the living room as well. On the phone widget is a scene set so the lights are dim and warm making the room cozy just before bed. I've also set up a "routine" in the app where the lights will fade up slowly leading to my 7am alarm. It makes it easier to get out of bed when the room isn't pitch black. Highly recommend.

The Philips Hue White Ambiance is the first smart light bulb I've ever owned or used. For the most part I've been very impressed with the functionality of this bulb and the features that Philips has packed into these bulbs. I've always thought the idea of being able to control my light via Google Home or my Smartphone was really cool but, never really thought I'd need or really use all of the colors that come with the traditional Hue bulb. And on top of that the price tag has always deterred me from purchasing. While these bulbs are still on the more expensive side, as far as light bulbs go, I think they really offer so cool features for the price. My Smartphone: I currently use the Samsung Smart things as my smart home hub and control most everything through voice with my Google home. I wanted something that could interact with both of these to be able to use voice control and run routines that I have set with Smart Things. The Philips hue works very well with both of these products. My biggest complaint is the need for a second Philips hue hub on top of my Smart Things hub. I understand that Philips offers a lot of functionality with their hub but, I feel like being able to use these bulbs without a second hub could be done and would reduce the amount of clutter and boxes I have in my cabinet. Setup: setup was fairly straightforward, a few taps and I was ready to go. Connecting to my Smart Things hub and Google Home was no more difficult that a few clicks. Overall the setup process was painless. Using the bulbs: I was extremely surprised at all of the different colors and scenes that the hue app offers. I had expected to be able to set the bulbs to a few colors (soft white, bright white, daylight, etc.) However the hue app let's you fine tune the color to any color temperature in between. I think this is really cool and not really sure why you would need any additional colors. Few complaints: My biggest complaint is what happens when the light switch gets turned off. I know there really isn't a good solution to this and is more inherent in smart bulbs as a whole but, when the lights get turned off the colors don't come back to the last settings and instead revert to a default set color. What is really annoying is that it seems that two of my older hue bulbs default to a different color. Since all four bulbs are in the same fan, when the switch gets flipped I'm left with different color bulbs in my fan. My next complaint is the when the bulbs just don't work. Granted this happens very infrequently but, I will have an occasion where bulbs will start changing different colors and nothing matches up. It usually resolves itself if I just change the color of the bulb but, still somewhat irritating. Overall I think this is a great product. If you've ever thought having different color temperature light bulbs at different times would be useful, I think these are the way to go.
