I made a commitment to the phillips system so i am buying the lights

I bought the 3 colored starter pack for my girlfriend a few years ago and keep getting up more lights to upgrade. I don't often see them in action because we aren't home very often but when they are being used it's excellent ambient light.

Purchased on sale and love the ease of installing the bridge and bulbs. I'm spoiled by the dim features and range of color options. Can set at any % just by asking Alexa. Have had for about 6 months and am extremely happy with the purchase!

Lights are what I expected. I use them as accent lighting on either side of my tv and they are great for watching movies. Would give them 5 stars, but they just don't produce colors as well as the Gen 3 bulbs. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and I would buy them again.

it's a nice complement to the starter kit. i use it to add lighting on a wall.. there's another version that's basically the same thing as this except it's portable, might want to consider that one instead. as far as i know they are similar besides one being portable

The newer, brighter Bloom light is a great accent that puts out a lot of light from a small package. Easy to set up and more reliable than many of the other hue products. only complaint is that it seems a bit expensive for what it does. But that goes for the white Hue system.

If you love Siri and HomeKit, the Hue lights are a must-have—and one bridge controls all the Hue lights you want to add, so if you decide that the couch really needs mood lighting… Siri will be there for you or google or gear or anything else that is compatible

While the design is so so I use it behind a couch so it’s never seen but the lights strong enough to give a cool ambience for the space. I think this is getting discontinued but if you can snag one on sale get it.

I use this light to enhance/accent my art pieces/prints on my walls. The Hue system has quite a few customization options and integrates well with IFTTT (I use my Hue lights with my WeMo motion sensors so that they turn on when I walk into my apartment and turn off when I leave!)

I have this bloom light positioned behind my computer monitor. I have an app that changes the light color to whatever is displayed on my computer at the moment. It has helped prevent me from getting eye strain on long gaming sessions.

These lights are really amazing. They do so much. They set a great mood for any room in your home and they can be controlled remotely. If you have a pet at home and you stay out late, it's so easy to turn a light on for the little guy. Highly recommend. We have 8 and counting

I like this light a lot. It has really filled a void in one of my rooms that needed a little more light, but didn't have a way to add a lamp with another hue bulb. It's not quite as bright as I'd like, but it does the job well enough to get 4 stars.

Bought one to sit under TV for hurts sync works well while watching movies but needs to be against white background else the colors muddy. Still works well with lightstrips to create an atmosphere in an entertainment area

It's great for adding ambient light to shelfs, open cabinets or placing behind art. I've had no issues connecting to it and am a big fan of phillips hue lights. Would love for them to come down a little on price, though.

This was such a simple installation for so much reward. Plugging these in and creating HomeKit scenes took an hour or so, and every dinner or party we've had since has generated tons of comments and notice. On our way to a smart home!

I was using the Hue color bulbs in uplight cans, before I received the Bloom as part of a Phillips package deal thru Best Buy. The Bloom is so much simpler, and when you factor in the cost of a separate uplight can, it's cheaper in the long run.

The lamp set up is rather easy to do. The lamp itself is nice enough to fit most home decor but the only negative is it isn't that bright. It still does a great job of doing a corner or wall but I wish it was brighter..

Bought the Bloom accent Lights for living room area. Easy to install. Light quality is good but can be brighter. Also seems to have problem communicating with Alexa. Will turn on and off and dim but she can't control color settings

for certain situations these lights are good, a dark room, pointed at a white wall or Pointing at something with brighter colors. but in a room already filled with LED light strips they didn't stand out. they work nice and are easy to set up, but they lack brightness, as well as the base is not removable so if you wanted to lay it flat, say for uplighting, you can't. for the right situation I would recommend this but not if you're looking for some bright accent light in a mid level bright room.

I've bought 2 of these for Ambient light behind the television. This is in readiness for the Hue Entertainment capability which has just been launched.... which is pretty restricted right now, but I expect to get taken up.
