I use this as accent lighting on top of my entertainment center. I have it facing the wall on the shelf above my tv. It adds a great ambiance to movie watching. I have a hue "scene" for watching red wings games; I turn that on during the game and my living room light and hue go light up red.

The Phillips light bulbs were easy to install and provide great light. You can program everything as a group too.

Love the different mood settings of this light. Good for reading before bed or setting the mood for some bedtime activities.

I have two of these and they are both amazing! Their color is very vivid and bright. I have one just shining on a wall, and the other behind my TV. I do love the fact you can take them off of the cord if you wanted to create some ambiance in a place without power. Highly recommended!

I like the fact the colors are interchangeable and it is able to carry around anywhere

Perfect for a desk or in a dark office where the overhead light is a bit too much.

Awesome addition, bought it to illuminate a wall and it did great. Use it as a lamp for my kids room now because I hooked it up to Google for automation. Fun feature to be able to unplug it and have the bou take it with him. It still works with Google or Alexa when unplugged too.

Was really impressed by this little lamp. Plenty of light and the battery lasts at least a couple of hours.

I love this light. It has replaced nightlights and candles and everything like that. I use the apps to simulate storms or candles lights flickering... it auto ons at nights so I have a nightlight in the bathroom, plus it’s totally mobile! It can go anywhere! Totally worth it!

I bought this for an unusual reason: I needed to simulate a campfire in a trade show booth display. So I stacked up some firewood, configured the Hue Go for the "yoga candle" mood, and put the Hue Go in the middle of the stack. And it made a decent display. We've subsequently used this light as a night light in our RV. The kids wanted a little light at night, and all of the RV's built-in lights were too bright. They enjoy the mood lighting from the Hue Go. I like the fact that it has several built-in moods and can run standalone without a full Hue system. I hope to upgrade to more Hue lights in the future, but for now, this is my only one, and it's nice that it works by itself. I also like that it has a built-in battery and can run for several hours unplugged. That seems like a nice feature, even though I haven't needed it yet. Which pretty much sums up my overall impression... it's fun to play with, but in some ways seems like a solution looking for a problem. I'm not sure quite what else to do with this light. It's fun, but kind of expensive unless you have a need for it.

Using as stand alone unit. Great colors, but wish it was a little brighter. Good to accent a room, but not quite bright enough to use as only light source.

Battery isn’t that long and doesn’t look that great plugged into the wall. Has a bit of trouble connecting to my hue bridge every time the battery dies. It’s cool. Won’t accent a large wall by itself but applied in certain situations not too bad. For the price and from this brand I expected a bit more.

Where oh where can I purchase a replacement charger for this? Live the light and that it’s portable. However keep the charger awy from your fury friends. Once its gone, there is no replacing it! Still very happy with the light. Ill buy a second one soon and use the charger for both

I got this because I like ambient lighting at night when I gearing up to go to sleep and this fit the bill. It’s very easy to setup and changing colors/scenes is very simple. The light itself is very light and works great when not directly connected to power source.

Was looking at another bulb to finish off my loving room, problem was it needed to fit on a book shelf and finding a lamp small enough to fit on the shelf was impossible, then came across this, looks great and does exactly what I needed evens out the living perfectly with the rest of my Phillips Hue bulbs.

This philips hue lamp is really awesome and I would love to recommend this to everyone. Really besutiful.

My one concern with the smart lamp was that since i didn’t have the hue bridge yet, it wouldn’t work but with the home app on the iphone particularly it was very simple to setup and use. ALSO very portable, love to carry it around the house just for the average night light

It’s a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. I think it’s going to be a good gift and I know he’ll love it!

I love this light. I only took off a star because this is the second one I’ve owned in a 2 year period. The first one had some glitch where it stopped working after a few months. I bought the protection plan (I suggest you do the same), so Best Buy replaced it at no charge and shipped a new one to me. So far the second one is working great.
