it works perfectly problem is i cant find a good app to make it coordinate with the TV other than that its pretty awesome especially with the amazon echo.I would give it 5 stars but the $50 for a light bulb is pretty high

I left another review on the br30 bulbs. I ended up returning these because I had the same thoughts on them. Not very bright. Color reproduction is subpar. App is an afterthought. There are third party options which help, but that costs as well. One thing Hue has going for it is integration with multiple smart homes gadgets, but I feel like they are living on their name - the competition has already surpassed their “new” and “brighter” performance. I really wanted to like them but had to return them and settled on LIFX bulbs which beat the hue brightness and color reproduction by a mile. Best of luck in whatever you choose.

These lights work really well with the Amazon Echo. The echo can dim them and change their color pattern. Added with the IF app, you are able to do much more fun and unique tricks. Their a bit expensive but a lot of fun.

These are pretty cool. They're super easy to setup. They even link up with my iPhones home app. I can control them with Siri and the control center.

I really like the smart bulbs. They're really good for almost any situation, and I can change them to almost any color I want. For some colors, however, my only complaint is that they don't offer these true color spectrum for color such as screens, blues, etc. that other brands do. But I can control is my voice, by using my Amazon echo or by phone or tablet, and I can even set up times for turning on when I wake up, or turning off. Overall, I really like that and I'll probably buy more bulbs to upgrade other room is in my home in the future.

This is the second version of the Hue and I think it is much improved over the first release. I use this every day to control the lights at my vacant home. It has performed flawlessly so far.

I use mine for the hallway light that I always forget to turn off until I'm cozy in bed and about to sleep. The other 2 bulbs is for the dining room light and the living room which creates great mood lighting. Never forget about turning off lights because you can just turn them off from your phone (while cozily snugged under your covers in your bed). The app is great and easy to use and has been updated thru the years. About to move and I'm excited to take them with me.

The full color spectrum is not possible with these bulbs. blue and green tones are washed out with white light. You have to buy a seperate app to get the best use of these. Free ones exist, their not that great. For the price tag you should be able to do more @philips

The lighting system does just as advertised. I have them in my partially finished basement and even with the fairly steep price, it was cheaper that having an electrician rewire the lights. Also, I can control them from my phone or tablet. They are a little bit of a gimmick, but work for my application. The Philips app is poor, but is the only one I find to program the switch that I bought with the lighting system. None of the apps do exactly what I want, but they work together, so I piece meal them. If it really bothered me, I guess I would learn to make my own apps.

If you are looking to add a little more flair to your living space or family gaming room, these bulbs are a welcomed solution. This kit comes with the Gen 2 Hue bridge which works with Apple's Siri as well as Amazon's Alexa/Dot/Tap, Meaning you can control your lights with your voice. Hue was smart and only provides you with 3 bulbs within this kit. Most lighting room configurations are at least 4 bulbs. Over all, great product, my family has been having fun creating lighting configurations since Christmas.

Setup in app was fast and simple. Product was not as bright as I would have liked, but color options were very impressive. Integrated with Amazon Echo well, but voice commands were iffy at times.

I love the bulbs! It is real easy to set up and it did not take any time what so ever to set up with both Amazon's Echo and Apple products! This is perfect when I come home with hands full and just give one easy command to turn the lights on! The best part is being able to set the mood and change the colors if the room where I am with one simple and easy command! I would certainly recommend this product. Did I mention I am also saving money with my electricity bill!! It is great!

I bought the second gen Hue starter kit to use with Smartthings and Google Home. The Hue bridge setup is quick and easy. Integration with Smartthings and Google Home works well. I have both second and third gen Hue bulbs and while the third gen bulbs do have richer greens and purples, in my opinion, the difference doesn't justify paying more for the starter kit. Overall, I am very happy. My kids love the colored bulbs and it's fun to set up scenes and "paint" with light.
