I recently moved from a house that had a bar in the basement to a single floor apartment. I missed my bar so I thought maybe getting the Phillips Hue could add some party lighting to any social gatherings at my apartment. It has done more then that!! I love the control you have and soooo many color options! Sets the mood just right and a surprise reaction when you start triggering the lights with your phone for company that wasn't expecting it. My friends and I love Phillips Hue!!!

Easy to set up. App could use a little work, but phillips supports many other free apps. Bright lights and look amazing!

I recently bought the starter kit on Halloween to light up my kitchen. I really like it at the beginning. However, now I'm having some connection problems. I thought it was my internet so I upgrade my router, but unfortunately that didn't solve the problem. I have been using the lights for almost a month and I had to reset them six times already. When I bought the lights I was so excited and wanted to get more for my entire house; however, I'm having second thoughts. Now I have been reviewing another product that is not out yet, but I believe it's going to be a great competence to Hue lights from Philips. Name of the product Qube WiFi smart lights. FYI this is a true statement. I'm not trying to advertise other products. I just want buyers to really think about how to get the best products for their money.

My only complaint is this doesn't tie into some easy switch for fluorescent lights and such. I guess I would also like the Siri function to work better and all the time. The white bulbs are also awesome too!

What an amazing product. I absolutely love having my lights turn on automatically in the morning or when I come home. And I can control them from anywhere I have Internet access!! Thankfully Phillips opened up Hue Lights to 3rd party developers which means there are endless (and consistently new) apps that can control the ligts. Anything from matching them up with music or movies, or connecting it with If This Then That (ITTT) app. Cannot recommend enough.

I purchased the starter kit and this is amazing. I can set the lights to come on at the same time each day, I can go to the app and turn them on if I am away longer than anticipated. I plan on buying additional lights. Works with my Google home so when I walk through the door I can automatically turn on whichever light I choose. Great for anyone traveling you can turn on and off lights in different rooms from the app. Excellent product and great purchase.

Absolutely love the philips hue system. I purchased the starter pack, but just ordered an additional flood light and light strip. Watching movies and playing games with a nice RGB light system is great.

This is good to control your lights with an Amazon Echo or Google Home with your voice. You can also use other apps. They are expensive though; I wish they were cheaper.

The lights sync well with the hue app. I've combined this with the tap remote switch to control these and many other lights. I enjoy how you can control the warmness/coolness of the white light too.

This is a smart home must have. Great for setting scheduled lighting when you're on vacation. This newer version is homekit enabled so you can use Siri to turn on lights or enable pre-set themes.

I love the HUE ecosystem. Easy to setup and use. The ONLY resaon I gave 4 stars is because the 3rd gen is out and the blue and green colors are SOOOOO much better!

I've tried many other systems before hue. Those all were complex trying to find bulbs and such. I just wanted something easy and hue did the setup nicely. Ability to set this up, dim them based on settings or change the color range for what I'm needing it for is great! I love my hue and the ability to set them from anywhere, or turn them on prior to coming home

Love my hues lights everyone that comes to our place is really impressed.. Will be adding more light to the system in the future! Can't say anything bad about the system. Works as designed.

Love the simplicity and the color options. It's great just telling Alexa to turn on the lights

This is the perfect kit to get started with having connected lighting. It has the latest Hue bridge and comes with three of the 2nd Gen. Color and White bulbs, and it is a fraction of the cost of the 3rd Gen starter kit. I did my research beforehand and the only major difference between 2nd and 3rd gen bulbs is the ability to display blue and green colors, where the 2nd gen can't properly display those two colors. As I plan on adding 3rd gen bulbs later on when they get a bit cheaper, this kit was perfect for smart lighting in areas that wouldn't need the blue and green lighting.

I purchased this set to get into the world of home automation and Smart lights, I held off a bit getting a starter set as I had heard there were some issues back and forth with compatibility between manufacturers. but I have to say for the price these are an excellent starting point to get your feet wet with customized home lighting. we have been having a blast playing with all the different themes you can create, as well as some of the fun apps to make the lights move with your music, definitely recommend getting this set if your looking to start with smart/connected lights,

We initially bought Hue lightbulbs for a lamp to turn off on a schedule in our sons room - then the daughter wanted one too, and it was all downhill from there! Like using them with movies in our media room and an app that your phone changes the colors to match the movie. Awful fun. Nice to be able to control them with Amazon Echo as well - "Alexa, turn off family room lights..." it's like magic. Totally love these things!

Great product, Does so much more if you connect to Amazon Echo (Alexa) and other connected apps, like Nest. Fun for hte kids too! Dance party lights and energy savings. AWESOME!!!

The lights are great, easy to install and quick to set up the hub. Siri and Echo integration worked flawlessly with HomeKit even recognizing the hub and adding my lights for me. Great product with the only down side maybe being this starter kit doesn't include a spot light for a ceiling or other use case light. But even that isn't an issue since they offer spot and ceiling lights independent of the starter kit.
