For whatever reason these bulbs refused to pair with my bridge until I manually entered the numbers. Even then, I couldn't get all three of them to cooperate. The quality of light output didn't justify the price, so I ended up returning them.

I tried the hue starter kit but I found ilumi to be better for various reasons : 1) Ilumi stores default color and schedules in each bulb so you can lose power and it'll still do what you want (though it will revert to your selected default color between power loss and the next scheduled change). 2) Hue reverts to white upon power loss. They're supposed to retain their colors and schedules as long as there is no power loss but even without power loss my hues kept reverting to white. I never did figure out why but they're not supposed to do that so I may have been doing something wrong with the scheduling but it wasn't obvious as to what I may have been doing wrong

The hue lights do everything they say but at that price, I would hope them to be a bit brighter. Otherwise, good product. Works well with Amazon Echo and decent phone app can be downloaded for more controlled functions.

there are not as many colors as it makes you believe because they blend in so much, also def not as bright as i thought they were. thinking about taking it back and trying the other brand.

Love the light bulbs ...hate the app. Why have bulbs that can change through 16 million different colors but not have a way to control them!?!?!?!

The lights work just as advertised for the most part. And they integrate very well to my Google home. Unfortunately, the app does not function for the away feature.

They are solid bulbs. But get the 3rd generation. The colors are way more vivid. Programming is super easy as always.

use on my iPhone and logitech works some days software keeps turning off my programing needs to be bought by apple and get the software more intuitive

We enjoy the bulbs and the color schemes and the dimming ability. We are disappointed that the Amazon echo doesn't control the bulbs as advertised

Just ok. Really need to lower pricing. Best feature is remote control functionality.

Have set up other smart devices in the house without any problems but this was difficult and I never was able to get it set up correctly so I returned it. There are other devices that work the same and easier to install.

It's good. Philips has updated a few things that were lacking before. Mainly the lights are brighter. Homekit integration was smooth with no issues there, although it takes a little playing around with Siri find out what she will respond to and what she wont. If you're upgrading from an old hub its fairly smooth all you have to do is follow the prompts in the app and make sure both units are plugged in. Also it helps if you write down the bulb serial numbers BEFORE you place them in the lamps in case you need to manually enter them into the app. Def a great buy.

The bulbs works great, only concern is that the app to use 100% has a cost. Could be better is the apps were free.

I would recommend this for young adults the apps to it hardly work and if you aren't tech savvy then it may be difficult to operate.

I had just recently purchased the old A19 starter kit and luckily enough was able to return it in time for this updated starter kit. As far as the differences go, the new bridge is welcomed and able to be controlled 'sometimes' by siri on my iPhone. The lights do seem slightly brighter, but the colors remain about the same with trouble for a real green. All in all, if you haven't had any hue products yet be sure to get the updated models, otherwise it probably isn't worth upgrading everything as it works about as well as the old ones.

I'm more Gore Style and the lighting doesn't have that for my Video Gaming

For someone who is just getting into home automation - this is a great place to start. Every time I have people over my house - I always get comments about my lights! Easy to set up and intuitive. Only thing I can recommend to be better is the Hue app. Great product.
