Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with the Hue Lightstrip Plus's brightness, ease of use, and the ambiance it creates. Many also appreciate its compatibility with other smart home systems and the relatively simple installation process. However, some customers find the price to be high, and a few have noted concerns about the adhesive strength and the length of the lightstrip. Overall, the positive feedback on brightness, ease of use, and ambiance outweighs the negative comments regarding price and adhesive.

Great lights
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this over my kitchen cabinets to provide a great effect against the wall and ceiling. Being able to control the colors with Google home is a bonus.

pass unless on major discount
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know the review title seems bad, but in all honesty, I wasn't going to pick these up until something else I purchased went back to the store and these were on sale. Difficult to turn into positions due to moderately stiff plastic, can only stick it once- better like where you put it. ...but, I still bought a couple because they fit well under the kitchen cabinets where we have no lights. Price is ridiculous and the runs are shorter than you would think...especially if you manage to flex these for a turn in a different direction. Power bricks are huge too. Overall- good if you're willing to spend the money for lights in difficult areas.

Great lights for your setup, jut expensive
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Philip Hue light strip is a great addition to your hue lights set up if you are looking for lights that are flexible and can fit around the areas you need. Easy to use and setup and the amount of light that comes from there is impressive. The only downside is the high expense nature of them. This is true however with many of their products in their line up. However, if they are within budget for you, definitely worth it.

Very good addition to the HUE family
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A terrific addition to the HUE family! Excellent for extending your light strip. The colours are vivid as is the brightness of this whole thing. Couple of notes: 1. When plugging into an existing light strip, make sure the pins line up correctly. Upon my first try, one of the pins didn't plug in properly so the light wasn't working. 2. The adhesive backing at the back is sufficient to hold it in place while you set up the light but over time, as with all adhesive backings, the glue hold weakens so would recommend that you stick some clear tape over the LEDs to hold them in place. 3. ALWAYS dust off the surface prior to sticking the LEDs as dust will significantly reduce the strength of the adhesive 4. You do need the full-size (2m) Lightstrip plus to use this extension. It will not work without it. 5. Once you attach it to an existing light strip, you don't need to set it up though the HUE app. It will just work as one complete strip of LEDs. You cannot have one extension one colour and another extension another colour if both are connected to each other.

Fantastic addition to any home media center
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic addition to any home media center! The lights are bright, fully customizable, sink well with apps and other Phillips hue lights. When they're on sale, which lately happens a lot, it's a very good bike. The only thing that I would suggest as others have mentioned, getting a stronger double-sided tape from hardware store is better than stock tape.

Bye Bye Bedlamp.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far my favorite accessory from Hue. I stuck the strip to the back of my headboard and it not only makes my bedroom look great, it's also bright enough to be used for reading (even though is it on the back side of the headboard.) BE WARNED: if you want to achieve the same effect as me, go with the Lightstrip PLUS.

Overall impressed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy setup. Bright. Convenient for any light needs. Only downfall is sticky backing cover comes off way to easy. Had no desire to stick as using under a lofted bed but paper peeled while weaving through slats.

A bit pricey but excellent quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased a strip for the tops of the kitchen cabinets. I had florescent tubes before. These are great. Accurate color, third party apps available and easy set up. I would like it to be a bit cheaper though.

works great, wish it wasn't so darn expensive
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These strips look fabulous and do so much to add light and color to my kitchen. But at $80 they are rather expensive for what they do, especially since you are often obliged to cut them to size using scissors, rendering them fairly locked in place once installed (unlike lights, which you can move around from fixture to fixture as you upgrade). I also wish that the control box was removeable, but it isn't.

Great product, but a bit over priced.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is easy to set up and control with either the Hue App or Alexa. You need to use the Hue app to control color settings etc. The strip is not that long and the sticky tape on the bottom is weak. Great if you want to play with lights and have different colors, just wish there was a better adhesive so they would stay where you put them.

Brighter than I thought!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These lights are awesome. I was shocked with how bright they were when I plugged them in! Super easy set up with my existing hue Network. Can’t wait to get these behind my tv for some back glow!

Great Accent Lighting
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The lights in my kitchen leave my countertops pretty dark, so picked up the Philips Lightstrip and placed it under my cabinets to give me light when I'm cooking. The lights work perfectly for lighting up my counters and makes it so much easier to read recipes and cook now. I love that I can change the colors to set the mood as well. My major gripe with the lightstrip is regarding the adhesive side that you use to adhere the lights to the wall, it's not the best. I have flat paint, so maybe that's why I'm having the problem, but the adhesive doesn't stick very well to the wall. I ended up going out and purchasing some double sided tape and that fixed the issue entirely.

Worth the money!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this Hue lighting system. I was going to pay an electrician $500+ to install under cabinet lighting in my home. However I saw these lights and figured id give them a try and wouldn't you know they were a breeze to install! Love the fact that I could place the switch anywhere I wanted without worrying about whether the spot was wiring accessible. Love the funky colors! I couldn't believe I installed everything myself in just a couple of hours. The biggest drawback for me is the fact that I do have a plug and wire showing - something I'd hoped to avoid. However with the cost savings and many other features I wouldn't get with a hard wired system, I can live with the plug and six inches of wire showing. I'll just hide it behind a coffee pot! Just make sure to note that if you want to be able to control these lights with your phone, Alexa, Siri, etc. or change the strip to any other colors besides the default white light, you will need to purchase the Hue Bridge and connect it to your router.

Looks great, works well
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 10 of these light strips so far and 2 extenders. So, far so good. The only slight issue is the once in a while a slight delay, but I think that's mainly my wifi / the lights are far away from the router. We put these lights on a switch, so when they first turn on they are white. That way you don't have to always have your phone with you. Once they're on it's pretty easy to change the colors and/or put them all on the same color. They make the space look very cool. We have 5 above cabinets, 2 under the table with extenders and 3 above/below floating bar shelves. The small issue is the white box, but I think we did a good job of hiding. For example at the floating bar shelves we put the wires in the wall and the outlet/white box at the bottom of the corner cabinet. Overall I would recommend these light strips to others/family/friends. **Oh, but I would tell them to get them on sale, like I did, because these strips are expensive.**

philips hue light strip
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this device. It puts out a lot of light. Or you can dim it to your liking. However, to change colors or light setting you need the bridge. You also need to download apps that have pay add on apps built into them. and the open free settings have some that are demo setting only, so you have to keep going into the app to turn some of the features back on. Not a big fan of that. Also, the peel off section of the tape was kind of already coming off in the box before I opened it. On the hole it is nice and I bought on sale.
