These 2gen lights are much brighter than the 1st gen. Easy stick tape holds them in place under my desk, this is the 3rd pair I purchased and synced to the Hub allowing easy control

Bought this for the kitchen cabinets overhead. Better than I expected. Can set on off schedule and colors. The only con is that the adhesive is not that strong.

Great app to control the lighting brightness, color, and on/off. Very easy to install. I installed the light strip in a bookcase. Really pleased with the result!

The hue light strip is pricy but way cool, you can completely control it like any hue product from the app, the sticky side of the light strip could be a bit stickier though

These are great, easy to install and great color. My only issue with the Hue lights is that when the power goes out and return, the lights turn on by themselves and stay on until you turn them off.

This strip works great, colors look great for the set up that I use them for plus set up was easy , I have other lights etc running with the strip and all works well.

The string was easy to use, peel and stick, connection to my Hue hub was easy and my 10 year old uses this with an Amazon echo. I'd like to see it not quite so pricy.

I purchesd this light to work with my Echo. Very easy to set up. In fact, it took seconds to sync with Hues hub and Echo. I will purchase another set to go around my bar!

I ended up returning this for the Lifx light strip. The Lifx strip was $75 on amazon, I had Best Buy match it, and it ended up being a way better deal because it's longer than the Phillips hue strip while giving you all of the same features for less.

This light strip is really fantastic. It was easy to setup and provided very enjoyable ambient lighting. The only negative is the price. It is quite expensive for the length.

I purchased this product to use for my upper and under cabinet accent and task lighting in my kitchen. The product performs really well and puts out very nice light both in the full color spectrum as well as the typical white light (color temperatures) you would want. Because this tape light also includes a white LED in addition to the RGB (Red, Green, Blue) for mixing full colors, it does a much better job of representing whites when you want whites. Other RGB only tape light products try to produce whites by mixing all three RGB LEDs to "Make" White, but it can always look a little off, either a slight hue of color comes through or it has a pastel blue or green tint to it. Having that extra dedicated white LED makes all the difference. You can still tune your white to a cooler temperature like 4000-5000 K (Kelvin) or something warmer for Relaxing at night that is something closer to an incandesent bulb or candle light in the 3000-2200 K (Kelvin) range. Just know that it will come on and work at a mid-range white temperature, but to tune it or chnage colors you will need to purchase the separate Phillips HUB, and download the app to your phone or tablet. The install is another thing. If you have a short run 80" or less, that is pretty straight forward and has a plug to plug the transformer in, then you could probably do this yourself. If you have to get into the walls and run extension connectors (just wire that doesn't light up), to get around to other cabinets, you have to cut the tape at specific points, (through some solder points), that can be a little fidgety), get third party connectors (litcessory) is a good resource to see what I used, and snap some clips on to solder points. It can take a little bit to make sure all of these custom connection points had good contact and were facing the right way. I ended up having an electrician friend of mine coming over just to help me with a few things. Once you have the HUE Bridge or HUB you can control the lights with a voice assistant like Alexa , Google Home Assistant , or Siri. The app also works well and has some cool features. I really like the way it turned out, and would recommend it to anyone. It can be a bit pricey and just go in knowing some of the installation hurdles you may run into.

I would have given a 5 star but the adhesive on the strip was just OK. Make sure you clean surface with alcohol and let it dry before applying and then it sticks really well. Other than that the colors are awesome and the strip is very adjustable.

The hue light strip easily mounts to any spot needed for a dramatic effect! The shades of color it can produce is great! The app makes it so easy and fun!!! You gotta get this!

These are so wonderful! We had to buy 2 in order to fit around our kitchen island. I don’t like that the part you cut becomes useless, but fortunately we didn’t waste much. Also. Battery operated would be nice, but thankfully we had an outlet that still made his work.

I love these for their simplicity and plug and play with Apple HomeKit, but there are better and cheaper lightstrip technologies out there. Around black friday, these are half off, so I never purchase them unless they are on sale.

Bought these light as a part of my smart home upgrade. Love the colors, love the apps associated with the products. Fun, easy to setup and use.

I put this under my bar at home and it looks amazing. Great for parties, extra lighting, or dim it for a nice night light.

while a little pricey they do deliver on all fronts. Very bright, connecting to the app is simple. I had a few hiccups. with the software but nothing big they are also connected to my google home and work without issue. great buy!
