Great affordable technology from Hue
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved having the convenience of turning on/off my lights using geofencing from my phone. Also, now that it is getting darker earlier here, the timer capability allows the lights to automatically turn on/off at the preferred time for my indoor dogs. The non-color bulbs are affordable considering they are expected to last 15 years. Only downside is you'll need to purchase the tap remote if your phone is not always on you to utilize as a physical light switch.

Great expansion into the Hue system
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am extatic that Philips made a cheaper expansion into the Hue system. These guys are great for those that have lamp shades that dont capture colored lights like I do. I put them in my nightstand lamps and the fixtures in the house that dont look cool in different colors. All in all though I plan to buy about 6 of these guys. Temp range is quite limited though :(

NOT Color Changing -- this is a white-only led
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought four of these bulbs thinking I was getting a great price -- but these are NOT Color Changing -- this is a white-only led. The ad doesn't make this point very clear. If you want the cool Color Changing power of Hue, you will need to pay an additional $30 per bulb (even though Philip's component cost in only an additional $3-5). I decided to return everything and wait until Philips drops the price and solves their blue color problem.
