I had purchased this for my bathroom as strange as that might sound. The app gives you options for "daytime" and "nighttime" settings which include how long to keep the lights on, the type of light (if your bulb supports it), and the brightness. Waking up in the middle of the night and having to search for your phone to turn on the light to use the bathroom can be a hassle. Now I can just walk in and know that the light will be set to 5% brightness; just enough so I can see what I'm doing but not enough to "blind" me in the middle of my sleep. Love love love this! P.S.: It also tells you the temperature of the room and the brightness of the light on the Home app.

I actually bought 2 of these. They are incredible and very easy to setup through your Hue account. I put one going down to my basement and one in my garage. Any time we go into the basement the lights turn on and turn off automatically after 15 minutes but you can program anything you want.

This motion sensor is a great addition to the hue system. Links up easy, and works great!!!

Love Hue products. Works as advertised, I have many of their products and continually add more. Bulbs I have had lasted years, I have yet to need to replace any.

Set-up was a breeze and linking to the room was a breeze as well. However, there is no option to link only to a single light if you happen to have it in a room with multiple lights. This can be solved by creating a separate room for the bulb but then it affects other items on the Hue system. Also, it doesn't always shut itself off in the time frame expected. Overall, still a nifty little piece of hardware.

Really like this as an add on option to the Phillips Hue lights. Works great to have in an entry hall way where one usually has the hands full and not readily accessible to turn on a switch. I just wish Phillips Hue would have bulbs that could be in enclosed over head fixtures which are quite common for entry hallways so didn't have to replace the light fixture first.

Great sensor. I was pleasantly surprised that aside from turning the lights on, it also reports temperature. Love the magnetic mount that it comes with, which makes it very easy to change the batteries when needed. My only wish would be for it to work with other light products, along with hue, such as Lutron Caseta, since Lutron does not make it's own sensor.

Installed it at the top of the basement stairs to turn on lights that had light switches that were far from the stairs and therefore annoying to return to when we realized that we forgot to turn them off. Setup and installation was easy enough, but getting the thing to register motion and turn on the lights was not straightforward. I had to adjust light sensitivity to the max setting and it worked. I probably would have done better with buying the lightswich accessory, but it works now!

We bought this sensor for the purpose of activating our front door lights. Unfortunately the sensor is not weather proof and fires not work t hrough glass so it turned out to not work for us. Before returning it I did test it in a few places but just could not find a place for us to keel it and returned it. However, it is small enough to fit just about anywhere without being out of place and dud seem to have the right sensitivity to motion and a good response time

I use one of these to control hue bulbs and another to control non Hue Equipment (WEMO plugs) utilizing Apple HomeKit. These allow 100% automation of the lighting in my garage. The motion sensor uses a magnetic mount which you can screw to a wall. But the magnet sticks to the steel frame of my garage doorway. Entire setup is fantastic. I’m living in the future!

I have these sensors in all of my rooms where the hue lights are installed and it makes it so much better. Every room automatically lights up now without the need of a switch. I know what you're thinking "how hard is it to flip a switch". Granted, not hard at all, but those few times when you are carrying something and that light comes on automatically, you'll see what its so great.

Bought one of these sensors to see just how well they work.Read several reviews that made me unsure of what to think of them.After using for a few days saw this thing is great.Have now bought another one and couldn’t be happier.Great for a room your in and out of fairly often.Just get right number of minutes set and forget about switches.This is as convenient as it gets.

The integration with Hue lights works great. Easy to set up and quick response times.

I got tired of my kids leaving the lights on in the storage room where we keep the video games. My solution was to replace the lights with hue bulbs and this motion detector. Now once the door opens the lights come on and stay on until no motion is detected for 2 mins.

Quite honestly I had been looking at other brands to save some money. I had one of these motion sensors already but wanted to try the others. After more returns that I care to admit, I ended up buying the hue motion sensor after all. After 3 minutes it was done. I regret looking for alternatives. Like they say, if it isn’t broken don’t fix it.

This is a must have accessory for your hue bulb set. We have it set up to face our front door so as we come in, the living room and hall lights turn on. This is perfect for when we are carrying in groceries or getting up in the middle of the night. My only wish is that I could turn it off during certain times of day (so my pets won’t trigger it) in order to save energy.

Nice sensor, it's a little large but that's due to the fact that it uses AAA as opposed to expensive hard to find lithium batteries. Battery life seems excellent and the mount is very easy to adjust. Not the least expensive sensor, but it has a lux (illumination) sensor built-in which is rare with zigbee devices.
