Convenient Motion Sensor for Hue Lights
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Hue motion sensor is a nice addition to my Hue setup. Being able to walk into a room and have the lights turn on is a nice convenience. Depending on how the sensor is angled, it can take a moment to activate depending on how you walk in front of it, so you might have to play around with positioning until you get the right behavior/effect.

Easy to set up & configure, works reliably
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setting up and configuring the sensor is a breeze. It connects to the Hue hub automatically, as soon as it's turned on. From there, use the app to control time intervals, day/night settings and light/motion sensitivity. All the features appear to work as they should. I've had them for a couple of months now, with no glitches yet.

Works as advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great addition to our Hue lighting system. We currently have this set up in our stairway so that the lights turn on at night every time we go up the stairs. Now that we've been using it for several weeks, we couldn't imagine living without it. Highly recommend this product if you can find a great use for it.

Link to automation
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I feel like this is the must-have accessory for the Hue lights. I have 4 setup within my house and have really utilized them in high traffic areas where constant light switching would be annoying, the sensor makes it effortless to have light when you need it and turn off when you don’t.

Could use some work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's definitely some ups and downs to the motion sensor, they're great for home automation, but setting them up see exactly how you would like can be cumbersome and time-consuming. Once they're set up exactly how you want it that are awesome but finding that balance between pros and cons in your programming may take awhile.

Almost but not quite
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The motion sensor is a great idea that needs some fine tuning. When it works it works great but the detection is spotty at best. I feel at times as though it is asleep and wakes up seconds later than it should. Sometimes I can walk all the way up to it without it detecting any motion what so ever. While this is not the norm it is frequent enough that it's annoying. That said I do love the convenience it brings and hope that software updates can help it over time rather than hardware as that would mean shelling out 40 bucks to replace these when the next gen comes out.

Easy to install and works great with HomeKit!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a sensor that works seamlessly with HomeKit and this is it! It was very easy to set up in the Hue app and then I was able to add additional actions to the sensor in the Home app. With iOS 13 it will be even more interesting to add the motion sensor to shortcuts and automations.

Convenient
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have several Philips Hue lights in our home but purchased the Motion Sensor to install in the master bath. During the day we have set motion activity to bring the lights up to full brightness. During nighttime hours motion activity brings the lights to 50% brightness. More convenient for our smart bulbs in the bath to come on my motion though they still can be controlled by voice or the Philips Hue app

Expensive but they work
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tried these and the Aqara motion sensors in Home Assistant. They both work but the Phillips are durable, have larger batteries and reset about ever 10 seconds. The reset feature is the best part and they just work.

Perfect/easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The motion sensor if perfect for hallways and common area that you don't hang out it. I installed in our upstairs hallway and was so easy to program. Now the kids have a nice dim night light should they get up in the middle of the night without having to leave lights on all night at full brightness.

The motion sensors work Great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The motion sensors really automates the Hue lights In your home. It's nice to walk in a room and have the light automatically come on, and turn off at a set interval! Highly recommended! I don't use light switches anymore!!! It's great! And should help save you money! As the lights go on an off as you need them when entering a room!

Convenient!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The motion sensor is very responsive and I can change how sensitive it is within the hue app. I like coming home at night and the light automatically turns on so I don’t have to walk in to a dark room. The sensor also detects temperature and how much light is in the room so it can adjust brightness of the lighting.

Better than SThings
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was previously using a SmartThings motion sensor to control my Hue Lights to turn on when I walked in the bedroom but it never quite worked as well as I wanted it to. The Hue motion sensor is amazing. It's so cool how you can set up different scenes for it. I'm definitely going to have to get more of these.

Use this as my main light switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very happy to see the addition of this piece of hardware from Philips for their Hue smart lighting system. I was going to purchase a new switch but I can move the one I have now and made this my main light switch upon entering. Works very well. Setup within relatively close range of the door for reliable functionality.

More reliable than SmartThings Sensors
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced two SmartThings motion sensors with these. They are more reliable if you are using Hue bulbs. With the ST sensors, I constantly had to reconfigure them. They often didn't trigger the Hue bulbs. If you use Hue bulbs, the Hue sensors will always know the state of the Hue bulb whereas ST doesn't.
