I already have several of these throughout the home and they work great. I bought this one for the garage. I used the magnetic mount to stick it to the steel door between the mudroom and the garage so that it would automatically turn on garage lights when I opened the door or pulled in the garage.

After getting the house set up with the Echo and Echo Dot we also did the Phillips hub and lights and put this motion sensor in the Bathroom for my daughter. She loves it, smiles every time it goes on automatically. You can set the time that it stays on and VERY easy to install.

As with all Philips Hue products, this motion sensor works well and has given me no problems since purchasing. Works well with Apple HomeKit and Philips Hue light bulbs. In Apple HomeKit, it gets exposed as a motion sensor, lux sensor, and temperature sensor. Very useful for automations.

This is a great product and sensor is very strong with good range. I use for steps, living room and kitchen cabinet lights. Wows guest when they walk into the kitchen and the top and bottom of my cabinets light up the whole kitchen. After you leave the kitchen the lights go back off after 5min. Pretty darn cool.

Been using this for about a week now and it is a neat product. I bought this because my son ran into the living room table which caused him to get stitches so now when he wakes up for water and walks to the kitchen the lights turn up. No need to keep walking looking for switches and what not.

Does what it says. However, has slow updating process and doesn't quite reach all the corners of my 3 story townhouse. Sometimes lights right next to the bridge "cannot be found."

Easy to set up, and easy to use. We have one in the basement, each bathroom, and out in the garage. Works great! Really nice cause u can set limits on the lights, so no more getting frustrated over the family leaving all the lights on.

This sensor was very easy to set up. It has different settings for the sensitivity to motion and daytime light and lets you customize the time of day to use certain light scenes. The one thing I don't like is not being able to override the motion sensor by manually setting the lights in the app or the fact that the lights will go out if it doesn't detect motion while you are still in the room. Overall a very impressive experience.

This is a well built, high-quality product. Annoyingly it isn't a Homekit sensor (although it costs the same as one) so it can only control Hue lights but it does so incredibly well. It knows when to turn lights on based on movement and how bright to make lights based on ambient light already. Was simple to set up in what I thought would be a complicated location (corner of the stairway) and I have yet to have any false positives!

our guests are always blown away when the lights just turn on as they walk into the house. we have them setup so the dim the lights past 8 pm and even dimmer past midnight so its not overly bright if you're half asleep. super super cool and discreet!

Hue Motion Sensor is an inexpensive way to expand the Hue Lites Smart Home. Real user friendly to add to existing Hue system. No wiring or tools required. Adds convenience & automation to lighting for special rooms like the Bathrooms. Saves Energy also. Great for Bathrooms, storage, closets, & utility rooms.

Easy installation and works really well with Hue products. The sensor itself does everything you’d hope and expect. The accompanying app does a lot, and most of it well, just not robust or capable enough to do what I exactly want it to do.

This was an experiment to see if we could use this for a hall that we often go down and not have to turn on the light switch each time. It works well with the Hue App to turn lights on when it see’s motion and turns them back off after a few minutes.

I picked these up because it's the only sensor I could find at a reasonable price that was motion temperature and light. There are great free drivers for this to be added directly to smart things hub. Doing this allows you to use all the sensor. I also added the third party driver for my ecobee to smarththings now I can use these Philips sensor to level the temperature in the house the same way ecobees sensor does

I picked it up in impulse. New gadget. I like the idea of the kitchen light to immediately turn on when I walk out my bedroom at 4:30 am walking towards the garage in order to get to my car to go to work. It works good it was easy to set up on the network. The time settings are a little more complex but not terrible. I love and hate the timer. I like the fact that the kitchen light turns on as soon as I step out bedroom headed down the hall to kitchen. I dont have to touch any switches and most importantly i dont trip over any children toys on my way to the light switch. I have it set up for 5 minute. I walk out and leave for work knowing it will turn off light within 5 minutes. Well thats a great thing but it sucks during the day.... the sensor is configured to only turn on light when motion is detected within 4am-6:30am. But during the day it still turns off the light regardless of how I turn the light on. I can turn it manually by flipping the light switch, using Amazon alexa, or hue phone app. It still turns off the light after 5 minutes of not detecting motion in the hall way. It sucks!! I havent spent much time with it I just moved the bulb designation to the laundry room which it doesn't affect my day to day activities.

I purchased this to control the lights in my closets. It works very well for that purpose, turning on when I walk in and then off when I head out. I haven't used it as a light sensor but might try one for that purpose soon, for example, to turn on lights in the living room when it starts to get darker.

They work well. Are easy to setup and install. The options provided in the hue app leave a lot to be desired. You can use other apps to add additional features which requires more effort.
