I say "decent" because Philips needs to implement more built-in rules/options for the motion sensor in the Hue app. For instance, with the stock app, you're limited as far as scheduling (just night & day periods) and a scene you manually set can be overriden by the motion sensor. All these issues can be remedied by using the Hue Labs formulas in the app, but that's not something most users are going to want to do (and isn't always clear how they work). That said, it's a useful device in a Hue setup that just needs some tweaking to make fit in seamlessly.

It’s a good value for the money but the sensor can be a little touchy. It took me several days to get the sensor adjusted. It would be nice if they had several more sensitivity adjustments on the device.

This motion sensor is a must have with your Philips Hue lights. We have installed Philips hue all over the house and it is amazing to have the lights turn on when you enter a room. Even better is the fact that you can customize how the bulbs react based on time of day. When I check on a crying toddler in the middle of the night, the motion sensor turns on a nightlight instead of an extremely bright light.

This has worked very well for me to establish with my front door however it has taken a little bit of adjustment to line it up to be perfect
