This is the second sensor I have had to buy because the first one just stopped working. At least 3 times a month. I have to reset this one because it stops working. Pretty annoying. When it works, it’s very convenient to have.

I will try just about anything HUE so I bought one...but I'm not sure where to put this. Motion triggers your lights to turn on...so bedrooms are a bad idea, especially when you're asleep. The family room is an option, but it's where we watch TV, so it's a little annoying for the lights to be flipping on and off sometimes. Maybe the kitchen? Or outdoors? Yeah, outdoors...that's the best place for it.

Sensor is easily triggered by the dogs passing even when it’s on the lowest setting I’ve tried moving the sensor I only have it for at night when it gets dark I would’ve returned Unfortunately to late

Added on to the hue to control the hallway (up stairs) lights. Installed on the top facing down to the stairs. Works best when running across it, not toward it. Sometimes, the lights are not on until reaching the top of the stairs

I bought this thinking there was integration with Apple HomeKit.... there isn't! Bad Philips! It works well, but it means I can't integrate in with my HomeKit automation, which is a pain! So, I'll be buying Elgato ones from now on.

    Horrible instructions

The onscreen instructions are literally incorrect and say to reset product for 1 second instead of 10 seconds. This caused me 4 days of pain and suffering trying to reset the product after I already had it working and it stopped. The one I purchased from Best Buy was also missing the magnetic mount, something I only realized it should have come with when I purchased one from another vendor and it was included. Thankfully I didn't need it. When it works, its great. Instructions are an unnecessary exercise if futility. 2 stars because of the horrible instructions and it was missing a part.

Little more difficult to set up than the other HUE products, but only because of the way we grouped our lights on the Hue app. We ended up having to delete the whole system and re setup, but once we did all works just fine.

Only works reliably when within 12 ft as I use it in my hallway which is longer I have to jump up and down until it sees me. Better sensors out there so Phillip’s need to improve this great gadget.

    Not great

Not great. I have an existing infrastructure with smart things. Decided to try this with the Phillips hub. It would turn on and off by itself and would be slow to detect motion. Like real slow. Like I walk into the room and walk around for about 45 seconds before it would turn the lights on. Went back to a smart thing a motion detector in the same location and it worked as expected. I was disappointed I. This sensor and do not recommend

Not quite sure if I'm a fan and am in the middle so far. There needs to be some additional setting you can trigger for the 2 halfs of the day that you setup for day and night to make this product better.

works 90% of the time, the motion I feel should pick up the moment faster, I have set in multiple areas and seems to have that slight time reaction. works well for the kids in the bathroom tho.

Device works great but the app doesn't have great options to control lighting based on conditions. There is a formula that you can activate in the app that gives you slightly more control.

I have 2 of these, one in my garage and another in my hallway. The one in the garage works fine, the one in the hallway responds sometimes and other times it doesn't.

Doesnt work as well as expected. Reaction time is slow, enter my hallway where it is installed and I make it 1/2 way down the hall before it turns on my lights. It could be better

These work okay. Even after fiddling with the settings in the Hue app, they don't always perform as expected. They work best in higher traffic areas like an entryway.

Add on to automate the lights on the hallway upstairs. It installed on the stop of the stairs facing down, but only works half of the times with this configuration

It senses motion great, but the problem is that without self-sticky back or holder, you end up setting it in places that may not be the most optimum for sensing
