Wonderful!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve seen some bad review here and there, decided to buy it for full living room lights experience. I’m more into technology stuff, I’m very knowledgeable with hue products. Please read manual papers they tell you what exactly what you need to do. Hue bridges are must have, well worth the price. I’m using 4K Apple TV and Blu Ray player they function with hue box much better and gives greater experience lights in my living room. Your Tv in app home screen will “NOT” Work, if I am mistaken, has no HDMI output to hue sync box to work. Needs to be connected by other HDMI such as tv box etc. Overall I fell in love and will be rewatching movies and tv shows with hue sync box.

The H in HDMI stands for Hue...?
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So my TV is old. I mean even in non-TV years, my TV is still old! I'm talking about 5 years. It's a 4K but it lacks many features and qualities the TVs that have come after it possess. So I was at the verge of upgrading it when I decided to give this little guy a try--not thinking that simply adding a Hue HDMI box would make me change my mind about upgrading my TV of course! But it did! I mean it improved my TV watching experience sooooooo much that I simply forgot about upgrading my TV. The initial investment is too much in my opinion, and today there are better and much cheaper alternatives. But do your own research and make an informed decision. After all, you are the Howard Hughes of whether or not to buy more Hues...

Great product with limitations
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This box does NOT supprt HDMI 2.1 or eARC passthrough support. Other than that this product works flawlessly and is definitely something that will enhance your viewing experience and guest will notice it as well as it will catch peoples eyes

Solid Construction
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well built and weighted, the switch function for inputs is pretty nice and easy once you get used to using the app. This box should not cost this much money I feel, though.

Could Be Good, If Stops Disconnecting From Bridge
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm about 5 days in, my biggest complaint is that it disconnects itself from the Hue Bridge. Sometimes it could be ok for a couple of hours then sometimes it can be in a matter of minutes. Then I will need to go to App and reconnect to the bridge in order for the syncing to work. It can be frustrating.

Doesn't work on PS5...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product works great with most products plugged directly into it. I am experiencing issues with connectivity to my PS5. I mainly bought it for watching movies, not gaming so I'm not that bothered by it. Unless there's something I'm doing improperly. For some it's a deal breaker. Be forewarned.

Almost Great.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Phillips Hue brand, but this product was the clunkiest of all the products I have purchased from them. I got it working, but it was not nearly as seamless as the other products in the series. The finished product is decent, not amazing. I held off on buying it for along time because of the price. Now that I have it, I still think it is overpriced.

Mediocre, but nothing else can do what this does
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The included HDMI cable is thin, flimsy, and cheap. I had to replace it to fix a multitude of issues I kept running in to. The box only supports 2.4GHz wireless, which anymore is overrun with noise and other devices. Would be nice to see a second generation of this come out with Ethernet and/or 5GHz wireless. The power brick has three sockets on it that you can plug the box, and the gradient strip into it to save precious plug space. Continue to have a lot of issues with my Insignia FireTV, occasionally have to unplug everything and replug to get things working again. Works fine with my LG TV though. Unless you really need or want Hue sync, I would wait for a second generation of this product.

Expensive, but worth it
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have replaced all bulbs in my home with Hue. The Sync Box was a natural addition during self-isolation and increased movie watching. It provides some awesome lighting effects and syncs instantly with the picture. The device is a bit pricey, but works beautifully! If you have home theater sound, this would be worth the investment.

Work good but have some issues
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The box works great i have it paired wih 4 hue light bar and is awesome when watching action movies. The onlys isssue i have is when you turn it on it keeps cycling thru the different inputs on my av receiver so i hve to keep pressing the Cable satelite button several times for it to work with my cable box. Other than that it works great.

Maybe worthwhile
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent device but only if you have a bunch of hue lights. I only had the ones in my overhead light and it didn’t have much impact. Did have some issues switching between devices but I think that was my lack of knowledge not a device issue. I ended up returning because it wasn’t worth the price for my setup

nice added ambiance when watching movies
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a nice touch to add some ambiance when watching movies and TV. I like how the lighting changes to match what's on the TV. It is more immersive. It can be a bit distracting when watching some shows, so we don't have them sync all the time.

Great feature of Hue Lights!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always wanted something like this since I purchased my first round of hue lights. It does take some getting use to, but once you have your entertainment area set up you feel completely immersed in whatever you are watching or playing. Can’t wait for more Home Kit support and fingers crossed on Dolby Atmos support in the future.

Great, But With Hiccups
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a joy to have/use. Syncing is fantastic. My biggest issue is the fact that the TV screen tends to black out every once in a while. Especially when playing video games. Also, HDMI devices are unable to automatically turn on the sync box. Not sure that it's worth the price but, still gets a 4 star from me.

Expensive but worth it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works just as it says. A little pricey but guess that's ok considering it is a premium product. Hopefully an updated version will be released that supports more lights. If you can pick it up during a good sale it's a no brainer!

Expensive, but works
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Way over priced, but it works. Note that on order for it to work you need a tablet or phone to activate, and you must have whatever you want synced plugged into the the HDMI ports of the box. That means smart TV don't work with sync. Things like fire sticks do.

Wish it worked better. NEEDS to be updated.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the coolest thing ever. When it works. This items hardware is awesome. the software needs to get better though. I just don't see it being awesome for another couple years. I have $600 worth of lights in the living room to go along with this and its just not good enough. the issue was with timing of the ought on screen vs the lights in the Hue gradient strip. I just don't think its been out long enough and they need to work on it. DISNEY + did not work at all with it. Went on forums. tons of info about this being an issue where some content it try's to stop copy written content. I had to return it. If it was only $99, I would have kept it. but for $220 its just too expensive to not work well. Its a gimmick for now ut I think it will be amazing some day.

It is not ready for the market yet...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a fantastic idea in theory yet it is not functional enough to be for public consumption quite yet...too many bugs and odd glitches...for the price especially...for 100 I may be able to deal with the misfunctionality but overall very much a disappointment...☹
