If, you own a receiver read. If you don't. Don't purchase. The hardware comes with one HDMI cable to swap with your primary device on the receiver. The other three inputs on the receiver that you might be using you will need to use individual HDMI cables to swap for each individual device you are using. It's simple to configure on the hue sync app and it's freakin' awesome! It brings TV & Gaming to whole new level.

I was excited to get this as I have recently updated my tv viewing setup. Very simple install and setup. Only drawback is that I wish it would interact with Alexa.

I was in love with just the idea of this product. I'm a big movie and gamer guy so I'm all about my entertainment set up. I needed to have this. I waited a couple years to pull the trigger. I finally pulled the did only to be left with a huge disappointment. I hooked it all up and the lighting effects were amazing. Which is why I at least have 3 stars. Would have been 5 but herein lies the issue. I have an Xbox series x, which is the central hub of my entertainment system. When I hooked up the Philips Hue sync box, I noticed a huge decrease in resolution. It immediately hit me and the first question I asked was, does this sync box support HDMI 2.1. I instantly scoured the internet only to find my disappointment. Not only does it not support HDMI 2.1 but Phillips has no plans currently to upgrade this product. Imagine my disappointment after wanting this product and waiting year's to finally get it. Guess it was blessing in disguise because ultimately, it would've been a waste of money. At least in this instance I had an option to return it. It really was a tough pill to swallow but I knew instantly that I need to return this product. I will not take a loss in resolution for some lighting effects. I feel like they are missing out on a huge market, given that Xbox series x and PlayStation 5 all support HDMI 2.1 120 HZ refresh rate. That seems to be the new norm and Philips should want to keep up with the technology. I returned the product unfortunately. All I can do now is Hope that Phillips will create a new sync box with HDMI 2.1. if they do, best believe I'll be in the front of the line.

Easy to setup, lights sync up perfectly to what's on screen

This product is great for watching movies or playing video games. It was a little tricky setting it up through my amplifier but once I got it figured out I love it.

I will tell you this. Please get all the information together before buying this. It’s a pain in the butt to set up but worth it when it’s all done!

I love this device. It connects to my Phillips Hue existing lights. It connects all my devices via HDMI ports (4) and they are labeled by numbers. The app is very easy to use. It can be controlled by voice with Siri (Shortcuts) snd Alexa. Lights aren’t point with matching the colors on the screen as you watch your favorite movie! Music is always fun with the hue sync.

After buying a TV, I wanted to add some background lighting to my media center and heard about the Hue Play Sync Box. The device was easy to set up and the power adapter is a common one among the Hue Play line of peripherals as far as I have noticed. Once set up, using it was a breeze and everyone who has seen it so far has been impressed.

Does what it says it will do. Easy setup to complete your hue tv experience. Colors are slightly off compared to running through PC sync app.

While this set-top box required a good amount of configuration, once it was set up it seems to be mostly OK. I've had to disable features (like CEC &USB Power Detection) due to issues with properly detecting when to turn on; now it just stays on. Going between my receiver and my display, I had to find the burried setting for ARC to function correctly. That said, the impact of my movies has increased; it's a more pleasant experience with this included!

Works exactly like it says it does. Very easy setup. Little bit pricey.

My husband bought this to enhance his gaming setup. He loves it and it seems to work as intended. This coupled with the Hue connect hub and the strips of lights help to create a more immersive gaming or viewing experience for him, so that's a win!

I bought the Sync along with strip lights. Once I hooked it up and started syncing, I added my hue lamp as well. Now everything is in sync during a movie or sporting event. Just makes watching TV more enjoyable.

I purchased the sync box with some doubt because of reviews but I do not regret it at all. It literally transforms the areas of your home where you have hue lighting. I have not have any problems with it syncing like others "Knock on wood" so it has worked as describe. My only complaint is I would like it to support Dolby atmos and Dts x which hopefully a future update will bring that support.

Need this equipment to run your Hue lights. Pricey but worth it.

Hue lights are amazing and you can set the lightstrips to a soft color that can align with the movie. BUT, this changes the game and even without the behind the TV lights, the atmosphere these bring are great. For Sync and usable, it is great; just the Hue app is for adding/removing lights and hue Sync is for controlling the experience.

Great to synch up Hue lights. I was a bit skeptical at purchase but upon hooking it up playing PS and gaming with the lights really enhances the experience with my 65 inch TV. Truly more of a fun purchase (luxury item) and not needed but if you want to add to your gamer experience with you or friends over this is a fun tech “toy” and will make it difficult to play without.

This item is over priced, but I purchased it while on sale. It does the job and matches the lights pretty close to the colors on the TV. Great buy.

I had the problem to process the download app in my Iphone. It turns out, Apple is not compatible. I tried using Samsung Galaxy S10+, then It worked. The other problem is, we have to press the button each time to start the TV, because the system is hybernate and It did not start right away. Customer service is very bad. I tried to call and to email, they don't know to fix the problem. They are really useless. If you can make It works, this product is great. It brings great entertainment on your TV. I hope they can make It better product in the future.
