Need this equipment to run your Hue lights. Pricey but worth it.

I purchased the sync box with some doubt because of reviews but I do not regret it at all. It literally transforms the areas of your home where you have hue lighting. I have not have any problems with it syncing like others "Knock on wood" so it has worked as describe. My only complaint is I would like it to support Dolby atmos and Dts x which hopefully a future update will bring that support.

This unit will revolutionize your entertainment space. Paired with Phillips Hue Play lighting and TV strips, this box and the sync app will make even the most uneventful show and movies breathe life visually. Easy to setup and the reaction times from the Hue lights are perfect. A nit pricey, but worth the investment.

Great to synch up Hue lights. I was a bit skeptical at purchase but upon hooking it up playing PS and gaming with the lights really enhances the experience with my 65 inch TV. Truly more of a fun purchase (luxury item) and not needed but if you want to add to your gamer experience with you or friends over this is a fun tech “toy” and will make it difficult to play without.

This item is over priced, but I purchased it while on sale. It does the job and matches the lights pretty close to the colors on the TV. Great buy.

In order for this box to sync lighting to match what's being displayed you'll need to connect your hdmi out to one of its hdmi port. This becomes an issue if you own a SmartTV because the apps are built directly into the TV. Without an hdmi out signal to the box, hue sync will not work. Philips does not plan to address this any time soon.

I had the problem to process the download app in my Iphone. It turns out, Apple is not compatible. I tried using Samsung Galaxy S10+, then It worked. The other problem is, we have to press the button each time to start the TV, because the system is hybernate and It did not start right away. Customer service is very bad. I tried to call and to email, they don't know to fix the problem. They are really useless. If you can make It works, this product is great. It brings great entertainment on your TV. I hope they can make It better product in the future.

The product is excellent and good experience while watching movies. Gives various options with color brightness etc. the price is bit oversized!

I think this is the best tv sync light system overall. However its expensive but it does provide the value and does justice to its price point.

In my humble opinion, I am a person that love all the new devices and this one is a perfect sync box for my TV, the colors and sync is amazing, has 4 hdmi inputs and the out to TV, I have my cable setbox, my 4k player and my xbox one connected and is other way to watch the tv, you can sync with the video colors or if you want to feel that you are in a disco you can sync with the music option. The only con that I found and I believe could be a good idea, to put in the sync box a display to show in which input number is selected to watch. YES, I recommend this product!

This thing is good. Right now. The 50z max pass thru and no Dolby Vision coming is the reason why I gave it this. The CON here is this. ARCing. Literally they want me to reroute my entire set-up just for that. Not happening. So I did the Xbox 1X thru. Put it to it's most extreme setting and still only 50z capable. Mine you my TV is a brand new LG C9. Overall, there isn't anything on the market that can do this and honestly the best one. If there was an update to be able to push my TV and FR and hz ups. With Dolby Vision. Then you got me at 5.

Great addition to entertainment center. Initial purchase didn’t work out of the box was replacement was easy and is working fine.

It does what it does. Syncs your light with the TV. It is beautiful how the lights change but unless you have the dough for it, it is worth it.

Once the item arrived I unboxed it ASAP. It took me about 15-20 mins to get the entire system synced and velcro'd to the back of my TV. Once all of that was done, I threw in the one movie which was a logical choice to watch first. AVATAR due to the colors. It didn't disappoint and we loved every second!

This device is super cool. Very responsive to color and light changes with the picture. Not 100% perfect but works great!

It's pricey, but man is it cool. If you're already invested in Hue lights, this is a great way to put them to work for your entertainment area. I have my Apple TV 4k, Switch, and PS4 all running through this. On the most extreme settings the lights can be a little distracting with how suddenly they change colors, so I pretty much have them on the lowest intensity setting.

I really enjoy watching the TV with sync and the strip light. It creates a dynamic that you don't think you need, but when you have it, you're so glad you do.

I bought this sync box to enhance my entertainment experience. It was pretty cool for most things but I couldn't get it to sync properly and I had issues going back and forth from tv to games. It ended up making me a bit sick so I ended up taking it back. I did think it was really cool and I plan on buying a later version once bugs get workout. It was also more expensive then I wanted to spend on it.

Unfortunately the Hue Play Sync box loses connection to its source with some regularity. Watching a movie and all is good, then later it loses connection and stays locked into a white colored light. You have to log in to app (slow to react) and then it has to be reset to work again. I tried exchanging the unit, but it's still doing the same thing. Maybe it's a software issue that could be addressed. I cannot give it more than 3 stars for this reason.
