Expensive but does a great job.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All of my hue products work well with each other. Watching movies with full 360 degree ambient lighting is pretty cool! It's expensive but does a really good job translating what's on screen to the lights in your room.

switching HDMI
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.so far its good only downside is that if you want to switch HDMI you have to do it through your phone instead of using a TV remote which can get really annoying, also it doesn't work for vr. not a big deal but its something to consider. other than that it syncs well.

Need to support 4K
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Posted 1 year ago. Owned for 4 months when reviewed. Purchased on sale and worth it at a sale price. Especially since HDR 10 and Dolby Vision are now supported. Note that when using devices for Dolby Vision, that they need to be plugged into either input port 2 or 4 with a high speed cable. Took me a while to figure this out.

Pretty neat but has issues.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Constantly says it can't connect, when it actually is connected and working. Other times can't connect even though unit is two inches from the wifi router. The effect is wonderful but not as fast as it should be to sync with pictures on screen. Unless software upgrades fix these issues, more trouble than worth at this price.

Not worth the money.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The philips hue play box is grossly overpriced for what it does. I bought this so I wouldn't have to have a PC in my theater setup anymore thinking it would work the same way as the computer software does. IT DOES NOT. this will sync with the colors on the screen OR the sound, NOT BOTH AT THE SAME TIME!!! The computer software does both at the same time and it's a far better effect. I'd suggest going that route if your intentions are to sync your lights with your screen

Needs Better design
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To much money for it not being able to use the apps that are already available in the tv, have to use an external device for this system to work.

Expensive but worth it
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I LOVE this product. Yes, there are some bugs, but overall it works really well. Definitely overpriced. I think i spent an additional $150 on 2 light bars and the attachment to the wifi router. Then another $200 on the TV lightstrips

Decent Sync Box
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the Sync Box and was really excited to use it. The setup was a breeze and getting it going was equally as easy. When it works its great, but it continuously drops signal. While watching a movie or playing video games, it drops signal for 5-10 seconds. Thinking about returning it because of these issues.

So so product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very expensive and had issues after setup getting it all to work correctly, was on the phone for over an hour trying to get it to work and nothing worked then all of a sudden my issue went away. Who knows if it will come back but for the price you think it would work seemlessly.

Amazing
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes, this product is a little expensive, but when purchased with the Philip hue light strip it makes the effect on your tv amazon. It’s needed to make your tv into a home theatre. It matches the light around the tv pop and makes it wild for an ordinary movie night

Its pretty good
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, its a nice product. The light sync is amazing for movies, but this product isnt without its flaws. I have experienced issues with syncing as well as the device seeming to not auto wake when using cec. Other than that it has been great with ny apple tv and cable box.

I’m buying a second one and have had no issues. Now I’m buying more hue color lights to really enhance my theatre experience. Works well overall
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased two of them for two TVs to use for syncing up my entertainment area lights. Overall it works well but definitely room for improvement. 1. Toggling hdmi input is slow and the auto-detection of input is not reliable. 2. Cannot control multiple sync boxes (without buying extra bridge as far as I know) 3. Remote integration and voice control still needs work
