This sync box was such an easy setup and a must buy if you are looking to enhance your TVs viewing experience. If your looking for a way to make your entertainment experience a better one get this with the gradient light strip.

The box works great, controls the lights around tv. Just wish the app was more stable

I was going to pull the trigger with the cheaper alternative like Govee but fortunately I was able to check out my friend’s Govee set up and let me just tell you…. Govee tried, but Hue is lightyears ahead! Hue is so much more seamless. I wish it had HDMI 2.1 but I couldn’t really tell the difference. It also took me a while to figure out how to use it with my Apple TV 4K (2nd gen). Music Mode wasn’t working initially but you just have to play with the Audio Output settings to get it to work.

All of my hue products work well with each other. Watching movies with full 360 degree ambient lighting is pretty cool! It's expensive but does a really good job translating what's on screen to the lights in your room.

For all Philips hue light owner out there this is a must must have add on to you hue lighting system ,specially if you have it setup for any entertainment system this will make your movies tv show more immersive experience feel more like you are in the seen of what you’re watching.

Posted 1 year ago. Owned for 4 months when reviewed. Purchased on sale and worth it at a sale price. Especially since HDR 10 and Dolby Vision are now supported. Note that when using devices for Dolby Vision, that they need to be plugged into either input port 2 or 4 with a high speed cable. Took me a while to figure this out.

so far its good only downside is that if you want to switch HDMI you have to do it through your phone instead of using a TV remote which can get really annoying, also it doesn't work for vr. not a big deal but its something to consider. other than that it syncs well.

Adds a great scenery to your tv watching. Sometimes it causes a lag in video games but it is not bad!

Overall, its a nice product. The light sync is amazing for movies, but this product isnt without its flaws. I have experienced issues with syncing as well as the device seeming to not auto wake when using cec. Other than that it has been great with ny apple tv and cable box.

Expensive, but it is something you need to sync to Tv.

Nice addition to back display lighting for tv. Syncs nicely with programming.

So Im assuming the folks who are going to buy something like this probably have a decent setup already (I have a LG OLED with vizio soundbar+surround). If you are ok with switching inputs via the app (I mostly go between cable, Apple TV 4K, and Xbox one x) then this box works amazingly well and has been a notable addition to my watching and playing Similar to how a headset for gaming just adds a new depth even if just listening w/o talking. But for that crowd that I assumed above is considering this, it currently does not sync to Dolby Vision so you will have a solid light or need yo downgrade to regular HDR. That matters to me cuz picture quality is my #1 priority and if you watch a 4K Blu-ray scene in hdr w this box syncing and then go back and rewatch the scene in Dolby Vision with solid white lighting (like I just did with a disc of The Matrix which has Dolby Vision) the Dolby Vision is so much better. You’ll sacrifice the best part of your fancy tv to use this box, but what it does and how it does it is really good and I love it - a 5/5 must-have product if you don’t have Dolby Vision OR if they add the Dolby Vision support

I bought the Phillips hue sync box primarily to work with my television during movies. I have 5 Phillips hue play bars behind and around my television. The box and lights definitely make watching television more emursive while watching movie and most television programs.

When it works (99% of time for me), its amazing. Sometimes i get red screen followed by ants/static looking scren momentarily before going back to normal. It makes a horrible screetch noose from my speakers when this happens.

Easy to instal and control, great addition to my home theater experience.

I LOVE this product. Yes, there are some bugs, but overall it works really well. Definitely overpriced. I think i spent an additional $150 on 2 light bars and the attachment to the wifi router. Then another $200 on the TV lightstrips

Very expensive and had issues after setup getting it all to work correctly, was on the phone for over an hour trying to get it to work and nothing worked then all of a sudden my issue went away. Who knows if it will come back but for the price you think it would work seemlessly.

Constantly says it can't connect, when it actually is connected and working. Other times can't connect even though unit is two inches from the wifi router. The effect is wonderful but not as fast as it should be to sync with pictures on screen. Unless software upgrades fix these issues, more trouble than worth at this price.
