phillips hue play HDMI sync box comes in different colors we chose the black one to match our decor - we have 2 of them now

Bought this to for my gaming setup and it works flawlessly. All you have to do is turn on what you want to use and the tv automatically switches to that input.

Perfect with play bars for movies. Wish it was cheaper though

I purchased the item to use with my Hue Gradient lights. The setup is easy to compare the two. The only thing that was left out was you need a streaming device in order for the sync to show on your television.

Great sync box, works very well. Only reason i 4 starred it was its old tech these days. Needs 2.1 hdmi support for gaming or PC. I use it mainly for movies/streaming

Absolutely worth it. Had it set up in about ten minutes. No issues what so ever. Does exactly what it says. Truly makes the movie experience better. Especially when you have a good surround sound set up to go with it.

Buy it. You will love it and everyone else will that experiences it. My brother saw it and went home n purchased one himself. Note Buy this along with the PHILIPS HUE kit and you will be set!. Trust me... your gonna love it.

Price is so high. Works ok but some time stop working.

Best upgrade to my TV experience. Although its mildly difficult to set up, once its set it’s awesome. Highly recommend if can get it on sale!

It took a while to get working as I have a complicated setup. Works well now and fills room with color. Great for movies. Hint: if you have a receiver and cable box, feed your HDMI off of cable box to receiver rather than after receiver to TV.

I’ve been using this along with a pair of Hue plays and an LED strip and the results are amazing. Only issue is that I have to use my phone to switch sources. I have a PS4 and an Nvidia Shield box and I couldn’t get the automatic source detection to work properly. I have Alexa and I hope Philips will add support for this product in Alexa.

Totally awesome piece to add to your home theater. Keep it cool or it'll cut out the picture. Would recommend to anyone looking to add the last thing to their home theater.

Works Great! I can not imagine having our theater setup without it! This is the second tv setup in the house.... While this is expensive to put into action, it is well worth it.

Love it! I have it synced to my PS4 and I love how it is easier to use with the app on changing the lights to sync while playing games, watching movies/shows, and listening to music. I am into tech things and I love it Haha.

I have a ton of hue lights so I needed this so I could have lights sync w movies, games, etc. the only flaw I’ve found is it syncs with the devices feeding into it. So if you want to watch a movie on your smart tv vs on a box feeding through the hue play box then it won’t be able to sync the movie w the lights.

I've had my Sync Box for about 2 weeks now and the jury is still out. My Hue setup for my living room has 2 bars mounted behind the TV, 4 bulbs in the fan and a portable Go with a Xbox One X and PS4 Pro hooked up. The bars behind the TV offer the best experience, when it works. Randomly the picture just cuts out. I've tried everything; I purchased "better" HDMI cables, plugged in the back-up USB power, moved it closer to my router and none of them worked. It's cut out twice since I started writing this. Sometimes it will go through a whole show without cutting out. When it works it is amazing, video games, movies and music (those are the 3 settings) look beautiful. It doesn't support HDR10+ but still has a great picture. In short, if you're a Hue person and want a cool experience, and can drop $250 get it! Hopefully some patches will come and the experience will be truly perfect.

Works great wanna buy one for every tv. Just make sure if you only use smart features on tv won’t work. You have to run what ever your watching HMI to box

Overall the box works as it should, every now and then, it stops syncing, I believe it could be from getting too hot. I think they could add more options to the app for more customization to make it even better, I believe they will in time. I mounted it behind my TV vertically and haven't had any more issues with losing sync since then.

It doesn’t work with anything that’s 120hz, but it does allow 120hz to pass through it to the tv but lights will not sync. Needs hdmi 2.1 badly, also very expensive for what it does, especially when the PC app to sync the lights is free.
