    I expected better

I previously had a non-Hue HDMI switch box and I have "upgraded" to this one. I was surprised that there are issues with this regarding it's processing of video signals. Notably, the screen will flash black when switching from 60hz to 24hz when watching movies. My previous HDMI switch box was a fraction of the price and did not have this issue. I also don't like that I have to download a separate app for Hue. There's already a "sync" tab in the main Hue app, but it just links to the secondary app. Overall this product is surprisingly mediocre and I bet the knockoffs might be worthy competitors. But the light effects are cool, so I'm keeping this incredibly overpriced toy.

Trying to set up my lighting game in the house, particularly the tv area. This is a game changer for viewings. Love Philips Hue products. Just wished it did 60hz rate.

I love the Philips Hue products. The Hue Play Sync box gives me the ability to sync up my living room lights with my TV. I love the experience especially when watching movies or playing PS4 games.

Bought this for my husband for his birthday. He loves how well it syncs and works with the movies and shows we watch, as well as when we play xbox with our kids. Works great with existing Hue lights we have.

This has been a great addition to my gaming room, syncing our hue lights to the actions on screen is a new level of immersion and we'll worth the price paid. Really easy to setup as well.

Depending on how many devices you have, setup can be a pain. It does 4k but not 3D, so that's a bummer. But when you're up and running, it's PHENOMENAL. You'll never watch movies at home the same again. Sometimes the box loses connection with the hub, can't figure out why, and that's very frustrating.

Kind of felt like purchasing a console but the effects it brings to your viewing and gaming is super dope.” I’m old” of course you will need all of the hue lights to make this mamajamma compete . And that can be sort of expensive. If you are serious about your home theater this is the toy to add tho .

Although this product is cool its still on the pricey side of things but Philips does have a huge assortment to compliment it.

When it comes to higher frames, the device does black out from time to time. I believe it gets overheated or something. If I watch Apple TV for a couple of hours then play my PS5 it will black out the screen for a few seconds. This is all with the Play Gradient Lights synced

Thanks to the firmware upgrade that was released earlier this year, this was an automatic buy. 4 HDMI outs and can now handle HDR. Kids love playing music and video games with light sync.

I have around 30 hue products and was really glad to see this released. I bought it as well as 2 play bars to use with my tv. I am a smart light financial and this was a very nice touch to add to my ho e.

Have had a lot of connectivity issues with the device. Returned it under warranty/replacement and will try a new one. When it did work though it was great for movies and video games. That’s the only reason I’m giving it a second shot.

This is also needed for the Philip's Hue lights but is really easy to use and easily organizes all of the hdmi cords for your tv set and is really simple to use. Set up looks great.

This product is awesome. The app is not super intuitive and there is a little lag in the colors syncing with the TV. It is also somewhat of a pain to set up. However, whennit is working it is spectacular.

Not very intuitive to set up with a voice assistant. Commands are a bit unnatural language. Does the job though. Don't get the gradient thing. Just make one with a raspberry pi and some LED strips for near the same money and a way better experience. Hyperion is the way to go.

Saw a YouTube video with a similar setup and could not stop thinking about the setup. Dolby vision pass through seems to work pretty seamlessly, and the sync is absolutely incredible!
