Don’t bother.

I bought it install it and then return it. It only works through the HDMI output. I wanted to use my TV apps and guess what is not possible. I Installed a Govee lights TV strips, this one uses a camera to mimic whatever is on the screen

The tv will sometimes go black for about 10 seconds in the middle of watching something after it changes to HDR. Also, sometimes the lights just won’t work and I have to reboot device.

Love the light show

Love the light show when I'm watching movies man, this thing works great and it does not take away from the actually movie or show that is playing.

Philips HDMI Sync Box

When connected through your Hue Hub.. it will match the background lighting to the TV scene.. very cool. We used to do this in a crude fashion several years ago with a tablet and an app. Philips must have seen the possibilities. Very nicely done. Highly recommend

Best thing ever invented

It works seamless, very responsive and haven’t had a problem yet for the month I’ve had it. You get what you pay for with the sync box. 100% would recommend
