Cinema at home
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The light effects are great for gaming and movies. My wife ask me to enable it every time we put a movie. It has some limitations with HR in case you have a brand new TV you might lose quality Also you can only connect 3-4 devices to it It more affordable it would be a no brainer

Returned already
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a basement theater with a projector and screen. I thought this would add to the effect and make it better. It didn’t. Wasn’t much of a difference at all, and for the price tag, it simply was not worth anything close to what it cost. Returned it after one or two uses.

Best sync option
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little expensive, but if you watch bright and colorful movies often like I do, it is worth the money. I know people with other sync light brands and none compare to the quality the sync box provides

Unique experience
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This truly makes a difference in the home theater experience. With the gradient light and hue bulbs my family room transforms, and become much more immersive.

expensive & works perfectly 70% of time
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The thing goes out pretty regularly, where my screen (and tge lights) will go black because the box stops transmitting. Really sucks when youre in the middle of a game.

good but needs improvement
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This box is great, the only problem I had is that the colors of what I was seeing on the TV were not the same video quality. Another thing is that I had a delay from the lights to the box when I was watching something, I had a delay for the colors but it is very good but they should improve the image quality

Worth it kinda?
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Trying to figure out how to get it all synch up cause I plan to use it for my gaming isn’t going so well. Especially since I planned to use it for my streaming. I am still excited but it’s slowly dying the longer I struggle. However I loved how it neatly fits under my tv and just hope I can get it figured out.

Syncing to the next level
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Need this if you are going to have the live syncing during gaming or video play, best purchase, people are always blown away by the syncing feature this offers with the hue lights. You’ll need to download the app and sync with the bridge to connect to the lights.

Does what it’s supposed to do
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does what it’s supposed to do. Just wish Philips Hue made it 2.1 hdmi to support 4K/120hz for next gen consoles. Also wish they added a LAN port to have a wired connection. If your wi-fi is good and you don’t mind 4K/60hz then the hue sync box works fine.

Love Hue, hate this. Doesn't work with TV apps.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received the light bars for xmas. Was super excited, then learned you need this guy. When I saw the price, I was bummed, but went ahead and got it. Total buyers remorse. Gripes: - You have to use the app on your phone or computer to start/set it up each time. No other way that I know of. Yeah my phone is always near by, but the whole point of Hue is automation once you've got it all set up. - Biggest issue: I don't use a cable box or external device (Firestick, Chromecast, Roku, etc), only my TV's built-in apps. There is no way to connect this without some sort of integration by the TV manufacturer. You may be able to do it with just the sound mode? But that's not worth the price. I've used it maybe 4 or 5 times. Honestly, the whole system is kind of gimmicky, and isn't implemented well at all. I say save your money on this and the light bars, and wait for the next generation or two.
