This is so cool to have if your watching a movie and have Hue Lights. My living room is all hue and being able to connect to them with whats playing is amazing. I will say you can only connect up to 10 lights. That is the max amount.

I rated lights 4/5, however the sync box needs a 2-3 star. System works great, however when power goes out, you start setup once again…

It took about 45 mins to setup... Wouldn't connect to wifi. I so I had to search online and found a bunch of people with the same issue... Some people had to exchange it 2 or 3 times before it worked... Apparently it only works on the 2.4GHZ wifi when the lights themselves have always worked off the 5GHZ wifi. After that it worked pretty good for the first couple of days... Then one day after it being on for about 15 mins the TV went black for about 15 seconds then turned back on... It did it again a few mins later and after the 3rd time it went black then turn blue and I'd have to completely unplug it and turn it back on for it to start working again... Tried all kinds of setups with no luck so I returned it... I still have the lights I purchased a while ago so I may give it another try later

Purchased this when it first came out, but then returned it since it didn’t support Dolby Vision. They’ve since added that feature through a software update, so I repurchased it and now couldn’t be happier with it.

Once the sync is on it works great. The problem is when the sync is off ( normal lighting )the programmed lights don’t respond correctly to commands. I’m hopeful a bug fix will be released soon. I don’t recommend buying this unless the lights are dedicated just for the hue sync.

I've had really good luck with this product. Timing is good and the amount of lighting options that you can pair with this allow for endless possibilities. With the new gradient lightstrip coming out, this is a must own.

Worth it, but be patient. Ports 2 and 4 are really for 4k video if you want enough bandwidth to sync color changes.

I love my Hues Play. It really adds to experience of a movie. Don’t care for it with gaming though.

Many agree that this device is overpriced for what it is. Fun novelty, but expensive for color synced lights. Huge negative is that it does not support Dolby Vision HDR! This is unacceptable for a modern high end device.

It works well. Might be problematic with 8k hdmi cord and Apple TV.

Bought it to streamline my other HUE products but was disappointed the fact that reaction for the lighting was couple of seconds delayed not sure why I tried resetting but same situation so I end up returning the product

Sucks you have to buy so many adaptors just to have one single item work and also too expensive

I really wanted this to be awesome but it's not there yet. The app needs to be improved greatly before I would buy it again. The sync doesn't always work. I have good internet too but it's spotty. I'm hoping they release another version that is improved. I returned this one.

Im so glad I bought this. It add another dimension to movie watching. Highly recommend it. never had any issues with it once its set up correctly (setup is kind of a pain)

Got this hooked up in my bonus/game room with 2 floor lamps, 2 play bars, 65 inch gradient light strip, and 2 light bulbs and it is amazing. Definitely a must buy.

Compact player but has a lot of great features. I like that it has the built in apps. It is very fast and the picture quality is excellent. I would recommend this to anyone in the market for a Blu-ray player.

was easy to set up....I had trouble syncing it to my A/V receiver system. With a few internet videos was able to figure out how to set it up. Great investment and makes my system have a total package.
