if you have all the hue equipment already, this is a nice addition.

The sync box is a must have to include in hue light system. It is a bit pricey and a little difficult to setup but is worth it when you see the amazing depth of picture from the lights syncing from movies or video games!

The hue sync box is very easy to set up and use. It makes watching movies or playing video games that much more immersive. One negative is that I wish there would be HDMI 2.1 support. Maybe that will be in an upcoming model.

Only had for a short period of time so far but I have this paired with the Philips Gradient 75" light strip and this is amazing! It brings your movies and gaming to a whole new level! Highly Recommend!!

Sucks you have to buy so many adaptors just to have one single item work and also too expensive

my wife got me this for my birthday It was difficult to set up at first because of the way my system is but I was able to pass through ARC after finding a setting in the application. It is very much fun to watch and it great product.

Needs a pass thru when not in use! You always have to turn off and on.

I’m a big fan of Phillips and the Hue product line. I’ve been using the hue sync app on my PC for sometime (PC does not require this box). The technology is great and the dynamic bias lighting is really fun. I purchased this box so that I could extend this function to my TV devices. The box just isn’t ready for retail though. -Video feed constantly drops to a black screen. -Only 2 of the HDMI ports support HDR/4K. -The device doesn’t auto detect the TV (requires a usb Cable that isn’t provided) so you have to use the app to turn on your box (which means you have to have your phone handy to use your TV). Was really bummed out that this made it to retail in its current form. I would advise those interested to wait for reviews of the next iteration of this device.

We got this and hooked up light strips to the back of the TV. It makes watching TV and movies so much more enjoyable. I really love this and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of buying it. It really enhances the TV.

Great syncing to inputs wish it did Dolby formats slightly overpriced

It’s not life changing but it works and adds a little something extra to watching movies and such - don’t expect this to work with smart TV - had to use it on The TV with Apple TV which is not the tv I bought it for but I like it.

Bought one for the living room TV and one for the home theater room.

Bought it to streamline my other HUE products but was disappointed the fact that reaction for the lighting was couple of seconds delayed not sure why I tried resetting but same situation so I end up returning the product

I had high hopes for this product. Got it home, plugged it in, did all the set up, and nothing. Didn’t work. Contacted Phillips hue support (which is annoying because you can only contact them through Facebook) and every conversation with them was ridiculous. You have to wait 1+ hours before you get a response and even if you message back right away, you still have to wait again. And since it’s someone new replying each time, they have no idea what is going on. From my experience they don’t seem to review previous messages to get more of an understanding about what is going on and I had to say many times “you’ve already asked me to do this and I’ve done it multiple times” and then you get asked again. Some of the things I was asked to do was. Uninstall the app and reinstall it(hope you remember your log in info), reset your light bridge and reset all your lights. As someone with a lot of lights, this was VERY irritating. I had to go back in and rename all of them and reset my scenes and everything. Just to find out that, you’ve guessed it, it still didn’t work. The lights would react when I would want to sync them. They would just turn white and dim. So the device was communicating with them so it doesn’t make sense why they would want me to reset the lights when the issue is clear that the box wasn’t sending the right signals out. Do not purchase this unless you want to add more suffering to your week

This is so cool to have if your watching a movie and have Hue Lights. My living room is all hue and being able to connect to them with whats playing is amazing. I will say you can only connect up to 10 lights. That is the max amount.

Purchased this when it first came out, but then returned it since it didn’t support Dolby Vision. They’ve since added that feature through a software update, so I repurchased it and now couldn’t be happier with it.

Got this hooked up in my bonus/game room with 2 floor lamps, 2 play bars, 65 inch gradient light strip, and 2 light bulbs and it is amazing. Definitely a must buy.

Im so glad I bought this. It add another dimension to movie watching. Highly recommend it. never had any issues with it once its set up correctly (setup is kind of a pain)

It took about 45 mins to setup... Wouldn't connect to wifi. I so I had to search online and found a bunch of people with the same issue... Some people had to exchange it 2 or 3 times before it worked... Apparently it only works on the 2.4GHZ wifi when the lights themselves have always worked off the 5GHZ wifi. After that it worked pretty good for the first couple of days... Then one day after it being on for about 15 mins the TV went black for about 15 seconds then turned back on... It did it again a few mins later and after the 3rd time it went black then turn blue and I'd have to completely unplug it and turn it back on for it to start working again... Tried all kinds of setups with no luck so I returned it... I still have the lights I purchased a while ago so I may give it another try later
