I have been wanting this box for awhile. I t was unavailable for some time. I LOVE having this. It really shows off what the Hue lights can do while I am watching tv - my experience is soo much better!

This is a must have for home theater if you have a Hue System, this with Hue Color and White bulbs plus Hue Play Bars are awesome, I can't wait til I'm able to get the new gradient light strip for my new 75" TV

I had already returned one due to the problems it was giving me. The unit cuts in and out giving you a snowy screen. It still cuts in occasionally, but when it works, man do I love it. I really hope Philips fixes its problem because I really really love this gadget when it works.

A little expensive but worth the money adds so much to entertainment

Must have the light strips or the bars. I got both because the strips don’t have lights at the bottom of the TV. Very responsive. You could easily go overboard on these lights.

This product is great worth the money. I only need more lights to make this product take over my life

This box is awesome. Not the best for 120hz but the effects it has added to my entertainment is amazing.

I needed this to make the colors of the Phillips gradient lightstrip match with what's on my television. It's easy to setup and doesn't take up much space. I haven't had any problems with this product.

It works just fine. Didn't like the boxing, didn't like the price but I'm really loving the sync it's a necessary purchase to get the experience that I wanted so. Happy customer.

I had high hopes for this product. Got it home, plugged it in, did all the set up, and nothing. Didn’t work. Contacted Phillips hue support (which is annoying because you can only contact them through Facebook) and every conversation with them was ridiculous. You have to wait 1+ hours before you get a response and even if you message back right away, you still have to wait again. And since it’s someone new replying each time, they have no idea what is going on. From my experience they don’t seem to review previous messages to get more of an understanding about what is going on and I had to say many times “you’ve already asked me to do this and I’ve done it multiple times” and then you get asked again. Some of the things I was asked to do was. Uninstall the app and reinstall it(hope you remember your log in info), reset your light bridge and reset all your lights. As someone with a lot of lights, this was VERY irritating. I had to go back in and rename all of them and reset my scenes and everything. Just to find out that, you’ve guessed it, it still didn’t work. The lights would react when I would want to sync them. They would just turn white and dim. So the device was communicating with them so it doesn’t make sense why they would want me to reset the lights when the issue is clear that the box wasn’t sending the right signals out. Do not purchase this unless you want to add more suffering to your week

I bought this to go with two light bars from the hue starter kit. The lights were very easy to install and set up, so the hue app is great for that. This box requires a separate sync app, which is somewhat annoying. More annoying is the tendency for inputs to just stop working randomly. I have a receiver for audio and the sync box is between receiver and tv. When I switch between inputs on the receiver, Video will just stop working. I know my components are functioning properly because there is no problem with sound. I have to unplug and reboot the sync box to get the video working again. A poor solution at best, especially given this price point. I’m considering returning it; when it works it’s awesome but it needs to work more consistently.

it's kinda annoying you'll need to purchase a firestick or any other streaming devices for it to work properly rather other than just using the apps on the TV,

This thing is very finggy, its take for ever to connect, even once it is setup in the system, check other reviews on line, same problems, works great once it connects but the connection is horrible to get it runing

The idea of this unit is a great concept. Unfortunately it is a poor execution. Don’t get me wrong, this unit is phenomenal when it works. The only problem is trying to get it to work. Something that cost so much shouldn’t be so difficult to get to work.

The box provides better more responsive light syncing than samsung's hue tv app, but this box needs an upgrade for 120hz

If you set your hdmi system on the lowest setting, it works beyond great, but if you set your system to Dolby vision, it will not work at all. It is a nifty item to have hooked to your system, as it does accurately display colors on the background wall.

Phillips Hue really came thru with this device. Returned my first kit I bought and when this came out I bought it again. Works with both my cable tv and Xbox. Can’t wait to have friends over for a little light show.

Easily the coolest thing I’ve bought in a long time. I’ve got the gradient strip, 2 play bars and 2 bulbs in my entertainment area. It adds a whole new dimension to your home theater experience.

Very immersive! Works well with games/movies. Also let’s you add more HDMI inputs to TV and ability to control inputs via phone.

This is the best piece of electronic I have bought in the last few years. It took my movie watching experience to the next level, and it just recently got a software update to support Dolby Vision/Atmos.
