If you want to get the most out of your tv with ambient light, this product is a must. This allows the action on the screen spills over to the wall to create a more immersive feel.

Two stars because it works, got the gradient light strip and hue bridge from Amazon, both clearly new, cables all had wire ties, got this sync box from Best Buy and the box has the sticker seals, unless Phillips has changed what a new product should look like then something is wrong here. The cables had no wire ties, even though the power cable clearly had indentations from most likely previously having wire ties, and the sync was a little scuffed up this was the fourth one I got from Best Buy in the same condition and I finally decided to give up.

Fantastic device but before you buy, make sure to review specs on your current step up to see if you are going to have any issues

This product doesn't work with 2019 Vizio TVs, Yamaha receivers, and 4K Apple TVs all running the latest firmware as of November 5, 2019. When Dolby Vision is working between the Vizio and AppleTV through the 2018 Yamaha CX-A5200 receiver, and the Hue Sync Box is then turned on, the TV picture goes back and a message appears that "no video signal is detected." I can say for sure I've tried a dozen combinations of HDMI ports and connection arrangements, and the Hue Sync Box is incompatible with the 2019 Vizio TVs when those TVs are hooked up to 4K Apple TVs with Dolby Vision enabled. Having Dolby Vision enabled will flat-out break the HDMI negotiation if the Hue Sync Box it turned on. This product isn't ready for prime time until it supports reading and applying color transitions when the signal is Dolby Vision. It's a cool effect when Dolby Vision is disabled on the Vizio and Apple TV both, but regrettably will be returned to the store until they true and proper Dolby Vision support.

This is 100% worth the money if you are a movie buff you need this. It’s for you. Make sure if you purchase this also look into getting Apple TV.

When it works it's good. The instructions leave much to be desired. Cannot connect to 5ghz Wi-Fi network, this isn't noted in the instructions. When it isn't randomly disconnected it is amazing.

Everyonce in a while it will black out my tv when playing games other than that it works great

I seen a lot of mixed reviews about this, but I took the chance and it was definitely worth the buy. It adds a lot to movies and game play. It is a great feature to add for better entertainment!

Honestly it’s awesome. Until you realize it’s a gimmick. I don’t know. If I didn’t have to turn it on each time in the app for it to show on my tv that would be a huge plus.

This will bring your hue lights to the next level. After the latest update it has brought Dolby vision, Dolby Atmos and voice control with Google assistant. Very happy with this purchase.

This changes the lights with what I play on the ps5 and its amazing. My whole apartment looks so cool now

This is definitely not something you need. You can just use the sync app on ur Mac or pc and do basically the same thing. Wayyy to overpriced for not being hdmi 2.1 compatible.

It flicks black for a couple seconds and flicks back afterwards but it does it really frequently. It's quite the hassle

Initially impressed, quite easy to set up and get going and seemed to work great. Then the issues started. I let this “sync”, after about 3hrs it was still doing this. Contacted support, no response in a week. Other issue. There are 4 HDMI input ports, one output into the TV - this seemed to mess things up for me. Maybe I needed to dig into this more, but poor instructions and lack of support meant issues - was difficult to switch between inputs & was unable to leverage the embedded smart tv functions in prime and Netflix- probably user related but when the documents provided, the first few YouTube searches and support don’t help then I’m not investing more time...

Great addition to my extensive Hue Ecosystem! Definitely looking forward to adding the new 75” strip to my TV but thus far I’ve still been extremely satisfied with this purchase!

The tv looks amazing but the only bad thing is the Philips hue app… sometimes works and sometimes not… but when it does it looks perfect!

Great item but buyers be advised. Make sure you have decent Wi-Fi service to get the FULL very much worth it experience. Hands Down Great Gamer Investment

Hue Sync is great if you have Hue lights and want to make watching TV & movies even better. Kinda a must have if you have Hue Lights or want an amazing tv/movie experience.
