the colors syncing with the tv were close to the same but at the same time not the same shade and it bothered me

The Sync box and Hue lights create a very immersive viewing experience, well worth the cost.

When it works, it's glorious. After setting it up, I immediately grabbed Suspiria, the film I pretty much bought the system for, and popped it in my 4K player. It was marvelous until it lost the signal fifteen minutes in and I had to restart everything. Then it happened again. And again. And again. I tried everything that the internet told me, but to no avail. A quick browse of other reviews will yield similar complaints. I wanted this to work, but it's just not there yet. I'll keep waiting, though.

I love the idea and concept, and initially it was working great... I watch everything via my AppleTV and the respective apps... I found with the NBA app, this device just simply couldn't keep up and was constantly just white, or off and then it would catch up through a viscous color cycle.. almost like buffering is... It worked well for movies, but I also noticed the buffering issue, so I ended up returning it. The fact it runs on a different app than the Hue lights is quite annoying as well, streamline it all into one app.

I really enjoy watching tv and movie’s The lights really enhance the experience, but have had to reinstall the system a number of times. I hope they make it possible to use it while streaming content .

This thing is really cool! It all depends on how many lights you have and where they’re located. Not to mention what you’re watching. But blockbuster movies are fantastic.

Best thing I have bought in a long time. This thing makes my entertainment area, movie room, and gaming much more enjoyable. I use the light strips on the back of the TV.

Expensive, but the effects from it are worth it. They add a really nice depth to your picture and it looks incredible for movies/shows with good lighting effects.

Super awesome device that lets you setup your entertainment zone for Hue Sync. Pairing with the Signe floor lamps and the gradient strip makes for an experience.

Best Buy ended up selling a open box version that did not work. I know this cause i exchanged it and the new one had plastic wrapping around unit itself unlike the first one i bought. The new unit works great so far.

Makes the most of your lights. Movies are a lot more fun now

Can be a pain to set up but once i got it, it was amazing! Currently using the bars but planning to get the strip. Only complaint is no LAN connection

this is so disappointing. I've been waiting to get one of these. I would get the lights to sync and start changing colors, but 10m into a movie - it stops syncing (colors stops changing). there's a reason why there are so many refurbished that comes available on / off. its likely because the return rate is so high. and the hue tech support is useless! I'm using an asus wifi 6 router and a hue gen 2 bridge. I've tried a bunch of stuff to turning off dual stream (separating 2.4 / 5), new hdmi cable's, reset (over and over), drop down to HDR instead of DoVi, just keeps having the same issue of losing sync. I have a LG CX display w Sonos Arc. these are super popular items and this interop mess or whatever it is/ makes me sad

I didn’t think this would be worth it at the price, but it truly creates the ultimate viewing experience. Paired the sync with the 65” gradient and highly recommend

New to HUE but when I learned about this and the gradient light strip it was a must have. Solid purchase, great quality. Box was built way better than I anticipated.

I love the quality of all the Hue products but this was a real let down. You cannot stream from your tv. The sync box only inputs to your tv. You need to have a DVD player/ game system/ external device to sync your lights. You cannot stream from your tv! It is unclear in the description. When you have all of your streaming apps on the tv, it would be nice to use that with the Hue. This is the only device I’ve rated poorly from them and if it was fixed, it would be five stars.
