Love the Gradient strips behind the tv and this is necessary to make them work. Would work well as just an HDMI switch too

Been waiting for Philips to release this and it works but it still needs some work. It does what its suppose to do but it overheats and it shuts off. I' suggest you wait for the next version. It's not there yet.

Few problems with this device only two ports are full bandwidth hdmi 1 and hdmi 4 sometimes the audio cuts out and you have to change inputs for it to come back

Awesome piece of technology. Works flawlessly. It is expensive but if you have HUE lights already and want to enhance your TV viewing experience. This is the item for you !!!

So far it's working fantastic. Definitely a learning curve to get it to work proper. Still a few bugs that I'm trying to get past but overall great

I liked the idea of it and everything seemed great but to get the full experience you have to buy this product which you have to buy for more money when I thought you only had to buy the lights which is misleading

May or may not have issues with higher refresh rate PCs and gaming systems. Works best with a large wall and two to three philips bar lights. Very expensive but a nice touch to gaming and movies.

This sync box along with the Hue Play Gradient strip light connected to the TV is truly amazing. Makes watching movies and playing video games more exciting.

It's just wow. It's so funny to play the games with ambient background lights. So immersive. A little bit overpriced.

GAME CHANGER! If your into movies this is a must if you have any hue lights! Totally changes the movie experience!!

mehhhh, this is not ready for prime time. when its working its GREAT. but it works with some inputs SOME of the time. It frustrating and wastes time and tests patience. Wait until they get this right.

I love it!!! It works great with my tv and makes the experience better.the only con I have is that sometimes the lights doesn’t match the the tv.

I enjoy the hue lights around my screens, but having the Sync Box to control the ambiance is incredible. I've viewed the other apps that can "sync" the lights to specific play lists or movies and the Sync Box is a better single TV implementation. The ability to also be an HDMI switcher for 4 devices helps if you do not have one already or have limited TV inputs. I was also pleased to find out it does allow use of the ARC from TV to surround sound if this is used. However, if you stream directly to a smart tv, the Sync Box will not utilize these light changes as the signal is not carried across an HDMI input. The latest software update for the box is a must, and really makes it more reliable than previous versions. It includes 4 intensities for lighting, a brightness control overall, and 3 modes (Video/Music/Game). It also has settings to allow HDMI input switching and auto-power when sensed. This update made the app useful for original setup and initial tweaks but then became a 'set and forget' experience for everyday. I tested this across a variety of inputs (Cable/BluRay/Game Console) and all had different environment outcomes but equal immersion. The cable input (go-to for lazing about) was straight forward. Regardless of channel change or picture type the box was responsive and adjusted colors accordingly. For this input I changed the intensity to a more subtle setting (next to lowest setting). BluRay was pretty straight forward, although I increased the intensity slightly for more experience to the movies watched. The box will sense if you have black bars in your video format, but still uses the lighting positions to add ambiance. Gaming console was my favorite test by far. I used the highest intensity allowed. In FPS the lights would increase red as your screen does for health. It would pick up on brightness of screens in winter wonderlands adding a snow-blind effect, or dim for dark dungeon video. Admittedly, I have moved the surrounding lights more than once to get the best desired effect for me. I'm using the Hue Play light bars, currently one on each side of the screen facing outward towards the surrounding wall. During setup the app will ask which "Entertainment Area" the Sync Box should utilize and also verify which lights are included/placed/and responsive. Setup took about 15 minutes or less, and the standard Hue necessities are required (bridge, lights, wifi). The controller app does work with current iOS, but not with older like iPad 2 (iOS 9.x). The reason I only provided 4 stars is due to cost. The Hue ecosystem is already an investment. This is simply an add-on to that environment but is only for 1 screen or location. To move the Sync Box to a different screen for viewing would require running through the setup again each time it is moved.

I thought this thing would be a gimmick and then I might return it, it is not if you have a good Hue setup this won't add to any movie or video game, I love it

Came in looking for this product and didn't see it, was under the impression it was unavailable but after speaking with a employee, he found it for me.

I am so glad I did research and got this with the lights. Did it cost a little bit? Yep! Is it worth it? Worth every penny. I use it for my video games and TV.

Purchased the sync box to complement the hue okay lights I connected to me tv . What a great display it provides to see the lights match the movie graphics.

I connected it to my Apple TV works great with my strip lights in combination with other color lights
