For how much it costs, you would think that it wouldn’t have so many problems. Right out of the box, I was having issues setting it up. I ended up contacting Philips Hue about the issue and to no avail were they able to help (even after they said they would call me back after further investigation). I ended up finally getting it to connect after spending an hour or so deleting the app and factory resetting the sync box multiple times. However, this morning (two weeks later). I ran into the same issue. Best Buy’s exchange policy will not allow for me to do an even exchange online and said that I would have to send it back , get a refund, and then repurchase it. Which is a bummer. Philips hue won’t take it and exchange it until after the 30 days so I’m currently stuck in pickle and with this being the last day for me to exchange it through Best Buy, I have to decide by today. I shouldn’t have to spend an hour+ on something this expensive in order to make it for only temporarily. Once again, don’t waste your money on this device. At least if you have the iOS version. Wait until they work out the kinks. If I didn’t invest in so many hue lights for my entertainment area I would have sent it back and call it a day.
