    The guided setup via the app seems easy and straight-forward. However, the real time setup had a lot of issues. I spent over an hour just trying to connect to wifi and without an established connection you will not be able to proceed with the initial setup leading to selecting which hue lights will be triggered for live TV and Movie viewing.

    Unfortunately this product is currently shipping with alpha quality code. This means that the device constantly crashes (requiring a power cycle) or reboots itself. This means that the box will sync your lights for 2-5 minutes and then freeze the lights. Typically this means the lights freeze at maximum brightness and then ruin the darker scenes of whatever movie you’re watching. Expect: To ruin your movie experience as you pause to unplug the device or wait for the iPhone app to relocate the rebooting device. Don’t expect: Software updates to resolve the problem or help from Phillips to actually make this product work. I look forward to Phillips recalling and then re-releasing this product when it is production quality. For now, it’s a dud.
