I have purchased 2 of these and want more now. It was easy to install and setup. I downloaded app to my phone so I can now also mess already with the colors of the light. I use 2 different colored lights at the same time and it looks so nice. The cables are a good length so I can keep them apart if need be.

Pricy... but definitely a great addition to your Hue collection! Many things you could do with them. Very cool when connecting it to an “entertainment area” no delays when sycing with the picture on the screen! Tough to capture the true look/colors in a picture but I’ll add one anyway.

Easy to set up and completely changes a movie or video game experience. I have tested multiple lighting systems for an indepth experience and held off on hue because of the price. But after i tried it, me and my wife fell in love with the experience.

[Employee of bestbuy] Overall have been waiting to buy these for about a year now and I’m super happy I did. They look fantastic in my setup with their orientation, and I can easily move them if I wanted to! The Hue Bridge was easy to set up with this too so I can eventually add more Smart Lighting! My personal favorite scenes are the Aurora, and Nebula, but tend to stick to Purple to match my color scheme! The normal white can look a little washed out, so if you have Alexa or Google Nest, ask it to turn the color to “Snow” and it acts as a “True White”!

Using the Hue play with the Hue gradient lightstrip and Sync Box and I have a near perfect home theater. Hue makes it easy to connect, Sync Box has the lights keeping sync with whatever I am doing (movie, gaming or music).

If you're familiar with Hue Sync (or other screen cap apps like Huestacean), and—more importantly—understand the limitations of Hue Sync, then these should be a nice addition to any screen-sync lighting setup. I have a Hue light strip around the back of my TV and a Play bar on either side pointing up at the wall. These work great as accents to the light strip and pick up everything happening on the peripheries of the screen (like color, brightness, darkness, flashes, etc.) And they're low-profile, so you can place them right next to the screen without visual interference. They don't get as bright or as dim as the light strip, but they do produce the full range of colors in a cohesive, diffuse output. If you don't already have a strip or other light behind your TV though, go for the Hue Play 3-pack so you have a light for the middle of the screen. 2 alone might be underwhelming for screen syncing. As wall washer lights, they're great for adding accent colors to scenes or just adding extra indirect brightness to a room for general lighting. I've even used them as impromptu fill-lights for taking some pictures since they're easy to move around. It's also nice that the lights come packaged with a few different mounting options like vertical stands and mounting strips. I ended up just laying them flat on the TV stand since the back of the Play lights are beveled, so they point toward and up the wall at a nice angle.

Great lights high quality! Wish i can say the same about the sync box but it works with a ezcoo splitter if you are looking for a gaming setup with 4k 120fps. The splitter is $$ tho so beware.

We really like the extra light that these provide in our living room. It was easy to install and no issues so far (1+month of using them.) They were expensive, but we love them so much it was worth the money to us.

I have been using these products, and Hue in general, and they are flawless. The response time with Siri to change the lights have no delay. The gaming/entertainment experience when syncing them are super eye candy. I super recommend Hue products to entertainment lovers and to amplify it with lights. Bring the club/entertainment scene to you :) I also have 7 of these in separate rooms. Colors are brilliant and beautiful!

Have had a Philips Hue system since 2017. Started with a 4 bulb color starter pack and three years later we are about 30 different kinds of lights deep. Standard bulbs, Light Strips, HUE Play, Globes, you name it we have it or want to get it. My family and I are obsessed with the entire Hue lighting system. I have talked close to 10 different friends / family members into purchasing at the very least the starter kit and not one of them have been disappointed. Only downside is I feel like I lost out on a boatload of commission from all these sales I’ve made for Philips for no other reason aside from my love and belief of the HuE line. Can’t wait to see what’s next!!

The Hue Play Bar goes perfect with my Samsung Q70 65’ TV. I set up both LED bars behind my TV using the 3M tape to attach the bars. I did not want the light from the bars to overwhelm the TV in the background. And the amount of light is just perfect for me. I plan on adding the Hue Play HDMI next week when it comes out. It will complete the 4K movie watching experience with the LED Bars lighting syncing with the movie. I might add an additional hue light strip behind the seating area down the road. But for now the two led bars and the hue light on the lamp will due.

Bright and easy to use. They teally add a wonderful vibe to my office space. My fav hue lights. They do require a hub.

What can I say? We have our TV setup with these lights and they are the best! If you are deciding on these or the bloom, we have both, these are much more superior.

Absolutely love these light bars by Hue! They truly are worth the price because they deliver the exact range of colors you see on the color wheel while also having beautiful presets (all three photos are of already-made presets). I have a different and cheaper smart light company light stream on the back of my media stand and the color wheel is not always true to what you see in the app. Whereas Hue you get the outcome you see in the app. The app is also super easy to use which makes playing around with scenes a blast. The slider for the amount of brightness also updates in real-time which is a huge plus. The Hue light bars are super lightweight and easy to mount. I placed two on the back of my 55-inch TV which seems to work out nicely with spacing between them. These light bars do have a thin and long wire for power which can discreetly hide with all your other wiring (visible in two photos behind the TV). I will probably get the HDMI Sync Box in the near future to truly benefit from all the cool stuff these light bars can do with any type of entertainment (gaming, music, movies). On a side note, if anyone has Google Fi as a provider (some other providers might have this too) and is using their security VPN feature, you will have to disable this to access the Hue Bridge. It took me a while before I realized what the issue was so it might save some people some troubleshooting time to disable that beforehand, unfortunately.

I already own a large combo of colored and white hue bulbs. I have a game room that is mostly decorated with Nintendo games and accessories. This product made my room so much neater. Worth the buy for me.

Small but powerful. Made great accent lights behind speakers. Paired seamlessly with other Hue light strips and Hue bulbs.

If you are a hue fanatic like I am you must buy these. I bought two to go behind my tv and I love them. Paid these with hue sync and you’ll be amazed. The only thing I’d say is that you should buy 4 total play bars for all four sides of the tv

[Employee of bestbuy] I LOVE Hue products. The Wife and I have very nice custom gaming PCs. We pair HUE products with Corsair iCue to match everything and keep it the same echo system.

I love absolutely all of my hue products. The bars, bulbs, strips, all articulate flawlessly. The sync box makes the experience even better. Have yet to see a refresh on the sync box hardware.
