Bought the light bar for my husbands birthday was so excited as it would have been a great addition to his man cave. When he opened it he found that the lights will only work if you are streaming movies to your Tv and will not work for any dvd’s TV movies etc.

Phillips bridge would not connect with lights. This is after checking router requirements. Pricing also seemed high compared to other males/brands.

I LOVE my Hue lighting, however for the price and the difficulty of setting them up to use them at their full potential they are not worth purchasing.

    Another great Philips Hue product!

I have invested a lot of effort into turning my condo into a smart home and I started with the lights. Since I have an Alexa, it was so much easier for me to turn on and off the lights without actually having to get up to the switch (lazy I know)! I researched Philips Hue since they are a reliable company and bought several different lights. I have a total of 16 Philips Hue lights including A19, BR30, and GU10. When I saw these, I wanted to add them to my collection since my bedroom does not have an overhead light. I have to depend on a floor lamp but there are parts of my bedroom that are still kind of dark. So I got these and put them on top of my tall dresser. Wow! At full power, they are very bright! I loved these so much, I got one more and put it on the other side of my bedroom. I grouped all the Hue Play lights together and I’m having a fun time making new scenes and experimenting with different colors. These were also easy to sync with the Alexa. One thing you should be careful about is that Philips says you can sync your TV and computer to the lights. Just be warned that your TV HAS to be connected to your computer for this to work! Philips Hue lights currently CANNOT be synced to streaming devices like Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire Stick, Google Chromecast, etc. I highly doubt people connect their TVs to their computers. I hope Philips will work with these companies so all their lights can sync with movies and tv shows. Luckily for me, I don’t really care about that. I just want lights that can fill up my room. I definitely recommend these!

They are awsome, easy to install and set up. I put mine on the back of the TV and TV stands out along with my other hue lights. They should sell the 3 pack since the 2 pack comes with only 1 charger and option for 3 lights. They are a little bit expensive but well worth it you wont regret it In regards to hue syc, yes u need a laptop/pc to sync color with movie or music.. I hope they soon release the mobile. Version for cell phones so then u can just mirrow the movie or change with music. But yes buy them!

    Great Light Output

I purchased two sets of these about two years ago and have little to no regret. Great light output and it can be turned down if needed. I've even used them to light an entire room. The one downside would be the mounting. I wish it came with replaceable command pads as I like to move them around and try new areas. The sticky pads are great but cannot be reused.

Smaller, but a lot brighter than you would think! We were able to mount them on the sides of the tv, but could use them as desk lamps, and or to add ambiance on any wall.

I paired these with my gaming PC using a software called ScreenBloom and it make the gaming experience so much more inmersive. Very easy to setup both the hue bridge and the PC software. Would highly recommend. A bit on the expensive side but very cool.

I have these installed on top my bedframe to create dynamic ambient lighting! The bars fixtures themselves are sleek and low profile which I appreciate for my minimalist asthetic. Setting up custom lighting colors and scenes was easy with the Phillips Hue app and the Spotify synchronization works seamlessly! Absolutely worth the purchase.

    Amazing lights

These lights are amazing. I have the set up in my office for music, gaming, and movies and they don't disappoint. They work good with the Razer Chroma for music, but I think they work best when the chroma and lights work separately. I want a third since just 2 isn't enough to surround the colors for gaming and music. When playing a game or listening to music via the Hue Sync I thing that it's almost surround sound but with color. If I had a center and 2 forward left and right speakers it would better show whats on screen. With that being said, I would definitely recommend these speakers. I use them in a front room of my house and the neighbors always wonder whats going on. Very bright. It is a great investment to a game room, video room, or music room.....just remember that they are on, cause the app for your PC isn't great at turning them off when your done. Five stars!!!!
