    Never enough HUE lights

Added these to the back of our LG OLED WebOS TV for a total of 8 HUE lights in the TV entertainment room. Easy to setup and install, just like any other HUE light. We've got 40+ HUE lamps in our house, so these were just two more. Spoiler, just like so many other negative reviews about the supplied adhesive strips - one of ours refused to stay attached after one week. There are many alternatives. The lights are great. Attaching them is a different matter.

Easy to set up, and the app is easy to use. You do need to have a hue bridge in order to use these, but worth it.

A Wonderful Addition to the Hue Family

When I initially purchased my Hue Sync box, the gradient light strips were not yet available, so this was the only product specifically designed for Sync that I could get. While I understand that those light strips really elevate the experience to another level, I'm exceptionally pleased with my purchase of the light bars and am sure I'll continue to find a place for them in my setup once I've upgraded to the strip. Connecting the light bars is very simply and I appreciate the inclusion of a power adapter that can support multiple devices at the same time. The stands are easy to connect and my Hue App integrated the lights into my system seamlessly. The bars support a wide range of vivid colors and do a tremendous job of throwing them at the wall behind my television in a way that accurately recreates what's on screen and being fed through the sync box. They also work well as ambient light when not using the Sync features. They might not be worth the expense if you're just looking for additional Hue lights, but as part of a Sync setup, they're outstanding.

These lights provide a lot of light. Quite a few color options and if combined with other philips hue lights can set the mood in the room. The biggest drawback is the price. The entire hue line is expensive compared to other options. I'm just locked into the hue ecosystem as I started with them before any other options were available. I have not had a bad bulb yet. They've all worked well and continue too.

I like these alot, I do with they could do more than one color though, so if you're going behind your monitor or desk for some awesome RGB lighting, then I'd probably suggest the light strips. Also, I don't know where you find the adhesives so I just used command strips and they attach just fine. All in all, I would buy these over the light strips if you're looking for something simple and can put somewhere without attaching it like the stock pictures they posted

Smart lighting by philips is the way to go. It can change the whole mood and feeling of a room. These were pretty easy to install on the back of the television where I have them. You can even use them as an accent for a bookshelf or lighting for a closet if you're creative enough. Try them it. They're great.

I’ve really enjoyed using the Philips Hue Play Light Bars so far. The colors are vibrant, the integration with the Hue app is seamless, and they add a great ambiance whether I’m watching movies, gaming, or just relaxing. Setup was straightforward, and the compact design makes them easy to place behind a TV or monitor. The only issue I’ve run into was a brief instance of flickering, but it only happened once and hasn’t been a problem since. Otherwise, they’ve been rock-solid. Overall, a great addition to any smart home lighting setup.

Love the lights. Super easy setup and easy to use. Great ambiance. Unfortunately Phillips left out one of the screws and adhesive discs to mount and they won’t send a replacement but rather suggest I return the entire set to the store. I would have expected better customer service from the manufacturer.

I recently moved into a new apartment that lets me have an office and wanted to do something special to spruce up my work station. I bought the Philips LED Bar Light that comes in pairs and mounted one each behind two monitors that I have on my desk facing upwards. They provide a beautiful ambient to the room allowing you to change to whichever color you want or use one of their presets (relaxing, aurora lights, tropical twilight, bright, dimmed, etc...). For me, I like these lights because sometimes switching the color up changes my mood or provides a "change of scenery ambiance" if that makes sense giving me a refreshing rejuvenation to continue working. These fall into the "nice to have category" for me and are not essential to your workstation. as you will see in the other reviews these lights do an amazing job of increasing the cool factor of your tv area or computer setup. In case you missed it from other reviews, you will need the Philips Hue Bridge in order to connect the lights to your phone or other virtual assistances.

Upgraded from some Bloom lights I had behind my tv. Way brighter and being able to hide them easier is a plus. I do have three Play bars currently attached to my tv with the sync box. The effect is amazing can't wait to get my hands on the 75" gradient lightstrip to step it up even more.

Way overpriced fun. I can't justify this product any other way that just say they're fun. The Hue brand lights are always a good quality product with fairly durable materials and respectable technology. In the smart lighting market they continue to live up to their reputation. The light is responsive and fast, which isn't always common when using something that isn't hosted locally/on your own network. The app is intuitive and easy to use. Once the bridge is adopted then adding lights is a breeze. Adding the bridge can be a challenge depending on how your home network is setup, but I'd say the vast majority of home users won't have an issue. The colors are vibrant and bright and the app itself has some really cool features. The size of these are a bit smaller than I expected, but if you're mounting them behind a TV/monitor you'll appreciate that.

These are rather bright and the colors are great. I have mounted several in my basement as downlights. The ceiling is painted black so the cable is easily hidden. The mounts are easily drilled through for permanent screwed-in installation. The adhesive is garbage.

I have always been a huge fan of the Philips Hue products and this one is no exception. I initally purcahsed these to stick to the back of my monitors to provide some extra backlight at my desk. The light produced from these is even. These light bars get even better with the inclusion of the Hue Sync application on a PC. Hue Sync will automatically (and quickly depending on your connection/settings for the Hue Bridge) change to colors on the fly to match what is going on on your screen. My only real complaint is that the units do get a bit warm which causes the housing to click as they cool down.

Purchased this along with the sync box in order to create more ambiance for the home theater since we have been stuck at home because of covid. Even though it is super pricey it really does light up the room and set the tone in movies along of course with the surround sound.

These lights are great! We had an area in our family room that we wanted to light up differently and these lights really worked out and were easy to install. While a little pricey when compared to other alternatives, these lights are worth it.
