I bought this product to solve the oh-too-common problem in certain older homes to deal with a lack of overhead lighting. The light switches in my living room and bedroom control only 1 outlet each and those outlets also need to power my television and alarm clock. The dimmer switch added to the Hue system was a perfect fix. It was easy to set up, looks good, and adds a number of convenient features like 4 preset scenes, dimming, and the ability to light my entirely lamp-lit home without have to go around turning each one individually. Also great for being able to others being able to control your system without needing to connect to your wifi or download an app.

Easy to set up, easy to configure, and performance is rock solid. The only issue is it's just slightly too large for a single-gang blank plate. Looks just a little odd.

It does what it says it does without issues, just not sure why Phillips can't make a remote that operates like the ones that come with the non hue versions of their own color changing bulbs, a remote with function to not only turn on and off but to change from a number of preset colors ( around 12 I think ). That would be more effective considering my wife doesn't know how to use the app well or doesn't want to take the time, either way the remote helps for that but w/o the bells and whistles of what the lights are actually capable of.

Great light switch for use with or without HomeKit. Battery last a long time very low profile looks like normal switch but you can take it off as a remote switch if needed

Easy setup. I use it to turn on two sets of lights and dim them. I have it stuck on my refrigerator....easy access to switch and stays up magnetically.

this is a must have for the Hue system. eliminates the need to pull your phone out just to turn on/off lights. also dims ANY scene! highly recommend one for each room in the house/apartment

An almost must have if you have hue lights can be used as a remote or just a regular switch magnetic back but you can dim and set 4 different lights

We had our Hue bulbs on a dimmer switch and they didn't play nice. Now I've switched the light switch out to a standard switch and put this right next to it. The ability to change between 4 different scenes is a nice touch. Liking this thing WAY more than I thought I would.

I have a couple of these switches. Works great. Easy to set up. Love that you can attach to wall without ripping wall paper off the wall.

This is basically just a portable remote. No installation needed. It you can attach to wall for appearance of wall dimmer. The remote can still be removed once mounted. You can google how to add this to your already set up Philips bulbs. Basically the free app does the same function but this worked out great for my guest room where I have an Hue Philip bulb but no Alexa in that room. Now my guess can use remote rather then trying to talk to Alexa from another room or downloading an app in order to control the bulbs in room.

Works great with my Hue stuff (paired to the Hue Hub) and also with my Hubitat infrastructure. It can be paired to Hubitat and used as a multi-button remote to do several different functions or used with Hue to control scenes or be a dimmer. I use one to control my living room lights AND my front door lock, simply by using Hubitat and Rule Machine. I have others programmed as dimmers, and a few used to control outlets. They also work with Trådfri stuff from Ikea.

I bought my partner the starter kit for Christmas and we have been building on it since! This is an easy dimmer solution, installs easy, and can be used a remote!

Easy to setup and use. Installing on wall was incredibly easy to do and is nice that I don't have to use my phone or other device to control the lights in the room. Great device

Here's a pro-tip for you: Buy one of these and resetting any of your Hue lights in a pinch is made easy by holding down two of the buttons at once nearby one of your bulbs. I recently moved and had to reset some of my lights configured in new rooms. This made it really easy to reset them during that process and then I connected it to my kitchen lights when I was done and now I have a reliable dimmer! I feel like this is an overlooked Hue product that everyone should consider owning!

Great if you don;t want open the app everytime you walk in a room to turn the lights. Allows to set up to 5 different modes + dimming capabilities

Cheap, simple to set up and use, and makes hue lights perfectly balanced to function just like regular lights but with all the added features when you need them.

Love that this can be used as a remote or as a wall mounted unit. Sometimes the connection is a little shaky though

Super easy to setup and install. Nice to have a switch installed with no wires. And you can move it off the wall and carry it.

I rarely use mine as a remote, just as a wall switch, but it attaches solidly, looks good and works fine.

This switch is great. Easy to use, magnetic (so can be used anywhere) Turns on & off lights with a push, and controls the brightness with up and down dimmer buttons.
