My only wish was that this could pair with multiple rooms. Like if you could press once for room 1 and press again for room 2, etc, etc... as it currently stands you can only pair this with one room. That being said, it is nice that you can pair multiple scenes to the switch. From off, the first press of the on switch and the lights either turn on to your scene of choice or to the last used scene and then each subsequent press will allow you to change to your scene of choice. There are up to 5 scenes that can be programed to the on button. There are dimmer functions in this switch as well but given the flexibility of the scenes I don't tend to use the dimmer buttons much. I'd much prefer if you could have those two buttons dedicated to other rooms or scenes.

Easy, simple to mount wall switch which allows remote control from anywhere in an average size room.

So this is my second dimmer switch and overall I do recommend them. I do have to add that they often have trouble connecting to the hub and will stop working when used. This doesn’t happen all the time but it happens often. Overall though, they’re simple and easy to use. Simple setup and connection, decently made and overall good quality for the price. When they work, they’re great, when they don’t, it’s a little frustrating. Overall, I recommend this dimmer because when it works, it makes life so much easier.

Recently my Google Home mini AND Max both quit working with my Hue lights. Which left me with not being able to dim my lights easily via voice commands. These switches allowed me to have quick control once again. They are SUPER easy to set up, and really durable. The remote portion is really handy as well! You can even use the magnets in the base panel to attach the switch to your fridge!

Switch works very good. I find them to be a bit pricey.

I have several Philips Hue bulbs throughout the house, but sometimes my Alexa gets confused and it takes a minute to turn them on. I got this specificially for my dining room lights so I could easily and reliably turn them on and off and dim them without voice commands or going to my phone app. So far, after a month, it has worked great and was pretty easy to set up in the Philips Hue app.

Easy to set up with the lights you want to use (or room - can use up to 2 rooms). Comes in handy late at night when you don't want to wake up family members by shouting "ALEXA...". Also useful for when company comes over and does not understand the smart home system - give them this switch and they can control lights in their guest room .

Picked up Hue Switch because of special pricing and was amazed how simple and cool these little remotes are. Can be wall mounted or remote can be removed from trim, but looks 'high-tech' wall mounted IMO. Removed small plastic tab and immediately connected. You can control what each 'tap' of the switch does and control specific lights or an entire room(s). Super cool product!

this is the easiest way to control your hue lights. you can program the settings in the app and then just use the control. it can dim and brighten your lights without having to use you phone all the time. you can even program scenes that you want instead of the default ones that come installed. the control pops off so you can take with you to the couch or bed.

We needed this! and it was LONG overdue. My wife complained a lot that she had to grab her phone to turn lights on or off, or that she had to make sure her phone was close enough that she could use Siri. Now we have this installed and it makes things a bit easier on both of us. Will more likely purchase more as we get more Hue Lights.

My fascination with the Philips Hue ecosystem is that they just work. Plug them in, configure them correctly, and you can forget about them - because they will just continue to work day in and day out, without fail and without needing any intervention like reboots and stuff. I wish all of technology can be as consistent as the Philips Hue ecosystem and operate in a very stable manner. This wireless switch is just another testament of that consistency. It is also very convenient as you can stick this anywhere and voila! It will look like it was a standard wall switch. And the main remote is magnetic so you can carry it around, or just leave it in place. For my bedroom switch, I even chose not to stick this anywhere and just leave it on top of the bedside table, and it controls all the lighting in the room. Overall, the make seems sturdy. I have yet to find out how long the batteries last though, been using mine for almost a year now. Set-up is not complicated if you already have prior experience with setting the rest of your Philips Hue devices. It works on the same principle of adding a device, selecting the category, and assigning the lights that you want controlled by this, including pre-programming lighting settings. Overall, I'm happy with the creativeness put into thinking up this product.

I'm new to the Hue world...but so far am glad I jumped in. This dimmer switch is a must-have...and is truly an evolution in household lighting and associated setup. Easy setup...easy mounting...two options: screws or adhesive. I opted for adhesive, although I am curious about the impact on the wall when I remove the switch.

This is a must have for your smart home lighting setup. Easy to use and easier to install.

This is a really nice design, not only for the detachable controller, but mainly for the exceptional light weight of the switch and its holder, which allow it to adhere to any surface without excessively strong adhesive that could damage paint, for example. Having extra switches without extra wiring, on top of the dimmer capability makes this product just perfect for what I needed.

Purchased to put in our master bedroom. Works well to control all of the lights in the room. The option to have it control other rooms as well is nice to have.

Not much to say other than works as expected. Since I am using the Lightstrips for under cabinet lighting, it provides a physical way to control them. Liked the magnetic mounting on the back, as it allowed me to place the remote on the fridge (somewhat hidden). Added bonus is that it can store about 5 different “scenes” to call upon. Highly recommended if you’re already thinking about it.

Quick Summary A remote control switch to control Hue lights without a smart phone. It adds a great deal of functionality to the Hue system, but it is a little pricey. Background I really like the ability to control the lights with my phone, changing colors and brightness levels. However, I found that sometimes when going into a room quickly, you just want to turn the light on, do what you need to do, and then leave again turning the light off. This is not practical with a smart phone as I don't carry mine with me all over the house. Sure you could use the existing light switches but then if you turn the light off that way, you can't use the phone to turn it on because the power is physically cut off. Enter the Hue Dimmer Switch. Features Allows you to turn any number of Hue lights on, off, and adjust the brightness. This switch is registered to the Hue infrastructure (aka your Hue bridge) and once paired, you can use the app to set any number of lights to be controlled with the switch. You can also assign a specific scene to the switch. For example I have two scenes programmed into my Hue app on my phone. I have a "normal" scene to give me normal white light that any bulb would give and an "ambiance" scene which has exotic colors for movies and listening to music. I have the "normal" scene set to this switch, so when I go into the room to do something quick, I can turn it on and then turn it off when I leave. But if I'm going to watch a movie for a couple hours I'll grab my phone, switch on the "ambiance" scene, and adjust it to whatever color matches the movie or song style. One thing to note too is that this switch is removable. It comes with a plate that is affixed to a wall either with screws or 3M type tape and then the switch (which is really a wireless remote) is attached to that plate with a magnet and can be removed. The permanent wall mount does not have to be used at all if you'd like to just use the remote switch.
