Not sure if mine is buggy or not but you have to press the buttons several times in order to achieve desired results. Not like a tv remote. This is from a foot away or 10 feet away. A lot of button smashing in order to brighten/dim. Perhaps it will be worked out in the updates or perhaps mine is defective.

Best Hue accessory in the system. I like that you can cycle through scenes in addition to ON/OFF and dimming. The way it magnetically attaches and detaches to the wall mount is great, as you can take it with you as a remote control when you sit down, are at the kitchen counter, etc. The only thing that could be better is the price.

It's a simple switch. Easy to install. However, I don't know if it's worth $20-$25. I would purchase if absolutely necessary, but I use google assistant mini/etc.

I already owned three of the Philips Hue personal lighting kits for a couple of rooms in my house. I decided it was time to upgrade and automate my security lights with the Hue starter kit. But I also wanted to control the security lights separately. I bought two of these switches and found they are very easy to add to the system and use. I'm a very satisfied customer!

Without it, you can only control your lights from the app, and that gets old fast once the novelty wears off.

Voice and mobile app controlled Hue lights are helpful and fun, but sometimes you need to turn the light on or off fast and quietly. These switches let you do just that. You can assign up to 4 scenes to the On button that it rotates through with multiple pushes, dim, and turn off the lights. It is responsive and I found it easy to set up.

I have over 25 hue bulbs and this one addition to the system has been the best improvement I have made. Sure changing lights with your phone or voice is great but most of the time its easier to just hit a button. Multi pushes of the ON button cycles colors/programs that you set. Dimmer is awesome.

Unless you constantly have your phone in hand open to the hue app when you walk in a room or you don't mind shouting ahead to your AI Big Brother of choice (Alexa, Siri, Google) then you'll want to pick up a dimmer switch for your hue bulbs. I find this incredibly useful for quick pops into a room. Yes, you can get by without it but you won't want to.

Great investment, allows for much easier access and use. Without this switch you'd only have to access your Hue app on your phone to turn lights on or off, change brightness level or select new scenes. With this dimmer switch You can program up to five different settings and switch through them by continuing to press the on button until you get to the setting you like!

I was skeptical at first, but they hold up to what the product claims. I love that we can put these switches anywhere in the house and use them like regular light switches. I also love that you can also use them as a remote to control smart lights. My family uses this product daily and we are in love with the ease of this technology. Thank you!

I purchased a couple of these to use in our kitchen to control the phillips hue lightstrips I installed under our cabinets. I like the fact that if for some reason I dont want to use Alexa to turn them on then all I have to do is hit the switch that can be mounted anywhere or taken out of the wall plate and put where ever you like.

Have now purchased seven of these switches.Placed them next to original switches to each light. They work well and are convenient to use to keep lights powered for smartphone use or alexia. There are times you just don’t want to speak or get out smartphone.Plus the other little features on them can be useful.And you can move them around.

If you have a hue smart light bulb system you need to buy this accessory. I struggled with switch/outlet layout in our bedroom and this easily solved our problem of having a switch that controlled our lights in the bedroom. Easy to setup and program in the hue app. We actually bought a second one to control more lights in the family room since it was so convenient.

After purchasing the first switch, I have returned and purchased one for each of the rooms I have Hue products installed in. This product connects easily with the lights and the bridge. I recommend this to supplement the phone apps! Product performed exactly as marketed

Nice to have the switch option when you want it. Received it as a gift and thought I wouldn't use it much as lights are usually controlled with Alexa. However, I use it quite often and plan on getting them for the other rooms because sometimes doing it manually as you walk in a room is just easier than voice control. Also easier for guests .

Installed a new celing fan in a bedroom and wanted to be able to run the fan all the time and easily turn off the lights when needed without pulling the chain. This worked perfectly. I love that its magnetized so I can put it on my nightstand when going to bed and dont have to get up to turn the lights off.

The dimmer switch works great. This is my fourth dimmer switch for my hue system and one of the reasons I decided to use hue vs its competitors. This switch allows you to control your lights without having to replace the physical switch. It was a must-have item so my wife accepted the move towards automation (she hates talking to Alexa).

If you’re going to buy the lights you’re going to want the remote, trust me. They hold multiple settings and quite frankly are sometimes easier than yelling for Alexa or Siri to change a light to a certain conditions. I would not recommend getting Hue lights throughout your house without several remotes to back you up.

Excellent product that's essential to "normal" people owning the Philips Hue system. Removes the requirement for a smartphone for turning on lights. Has 4 presets to toggle between lighting modes. Makes it much easier to sell to your family why you're spending hundreds of dollars on light bulbs!

Easy to setup. I really like Hue products. This is being used in my living room where I have 4 lamps, but only 1 is on a switch. Replaced all bulbs with Hue White ambiance and added this switch. The switch was setup in less than 5 minutes in the app to control them.
