U still need a regular wall switch already set n this is more A remote to use if u didn’t use Alexa or was trying to avoid waking somebody up using Alexa.

A worthy purchase

I use it every day with my google home and it works great. Minus one star for the price but other than that everyone in the house loves these lights.
