Get rid of those smelly nose hairs

Used for just my nose where needed and it works perfect because my nose hairs stink and shorter they are the better. I used to think I was smelling my upper lip but it was my nose hairs. It comes with an aa battery that is lithium ion chemistry but of course I will eventually just put an alkaline battery in there when this stock battery dies and I am sure it will be ok.

Great Little Trimmer

The Philips Norelco 3000 series Hair Trimmer (NT3600/42) is a small battery powered trimmer designed for nose, ears, and edge trimming. The trimmer is lightweight and very easy to use. It comes with a decent set of attachments. A rotary trimmer head for nose and ear trimming, a regular trimmer head, and 2 guide combs for eyebrow trimming. There also a small cleaning brush, and the trimmer comes with a disposable AA battery.
Using the trimmer was pretty straightforward. The trimmer heads twist onto the trimmer in a CCW direction and lock into place. The battery goes into the bottom battery slot via a twist-to-remove cover. A slider button is used to turn the trimmer on or off. The eyebrow combs click onto the trimmer head and latch into place – I have no fear of them coming off while in use. Cleaning out the parts just requires removing the trimmer heads from the main body and rinsing them the sink. The little cleaner brush can be used to help this along. Alternatively, you can leave the heads attached the trimmer, put the trimmer (cutting head down) in a glass of water (1” full), and turn it on for a minute or 2.
I personally used the trimmer to tidy up my eyebrows, nose, neckline, ears, and mustache area. For eyebrows the little guide combs work great. I usually have them trimmed up when I get a haircut, so it was nice to clean them up in between cuts. I started with the larger comb to see how much it took off, and then used the smaller comb for some edging. Both worked well and were easy to clean up afterwards. The rotary trimmer worked well on my nose hair. I was a little nervous using it because I was afraid of snags/pulls, but I had zero issues and it did a nice job. You can also use the standard trimmer head for your nose if that works better for you. The standard trimmer head worked great on my neckline. I always touch up my neck a few times between cuts. Before I had to use my big trimmer (a normal beard trimmer), which was awkward due to the orientation of the cutting head and how I would have to hold it. More than once I’ve nicked myself doing this. With the 3600 trimmer it was much more convenient and ergonomic to trim my neck. This alone makes this trimmer worth it for me. I also found it useful when touching up around the mustache area. My beard trimmer is just big enough that getting a trim just under my nose is a little tricky. With this small trimmer I could touch it up no problem.
For the price of this trimmer I feel like I should have picked one up a long time ago. It made cleaning up my neck and mustache area so much easier, and these are areas I need to trim often. The eyebrows, nose, and ears need less frequent trimmings, so these areas seem like bonus capabilities to me. It’s a nice, basic little trimmer that does a good job. I can’t see it mowing through a lot of hair because its so lightweight, so this is strictly for edging/touch up trims.

With a large swath of popular shavers and electric toothbrushes to their name, Philips Norelco has quite a lot of the personal grooming market covered. It comes as no surprise that a portable hair trimmer is among those ranks with multiple options to choose from. The 3000 series hair trimmer represents one of Philips Norelco’s most affordable offerings, and one of their most portable to boot. Lacking only a case for the accessories, this hair trimmer is an excellent portable option that runs on a single ubiquitous AA battery, yet remains powerful enough to get the job done.
- Unboxing & Usage Impressions
Major kudos to Philips Norelco for the spartan, easy-to-open packaging and inclusion of a AA battery. The device is very easy to open with a swappable trimmer head that twists and pulls off on one end, and a similar twist-and-pull motion grants access to the battery compartment. Both trimmer heads clearly indicate “washable,” which makes cleaning and maintaining the heads as easy as running them under water in the sink. Two attachable length combs for the trimmer allow for simple length adjustment, and the included miniature brush helps get stuck hair out of all the device’s heads.
The trimmer has a surprising amount of heft once the battery is installed, which makes for a comfortable grip with the addition of rubber coating on the handle. It’s about as quiet as you’d expect for a battery-operated trimmer, though the single battery means the motor doesn’t deliver as much power as a corded or rechargeable option might. Still, the standard trimmer attachment does a reasonable job cutting through thick facial hair, letting me trim my mustache with minimal pulling. I was worried the motor alone wouldn’t be enough as I sometimes have trouble even with an AC-powered trimmer, but the small trimming head helps. It will definitely take more passes to achieve the same effect, of course.
Where I ran into some trouble was with the “barrel” style attachment for trimming nose and ear hair. Philips Norelco’s claim of pull-free trimming falls short of perfection as this head does pull about as much as some other run-of-the-mill trimmers I’ve used. It’s not exactly painful, but it’s certainly discomforting. The added pulling meant it took more passes than I usually would to trim these hairs, needing to stop a couple times to blow my nose or sneeze.
- Portability
For the trimmer’s average performance, the compact size of the trimmer makes up in spades. It’s shorter than a typical electric toothbrush and about as slim around, so it fits in small toiletry bags or grooming cases with ease. Being powered by a AA battery rather than a rechargeable one may be a bit of a turn-off for some, but in the scope of traveling this is preferable to forgetting a charger at home. Single use AA batteries can be found virtually anywhere around the world, same size and voltage in all regions.
The only thing I can knock in regards to portability is that there’s no case or pouch included for the various trimmer accessories. It would have been much nicer to keep the extra parts handy without them scattering around my toiletry bag, and while a plastic bag does the trick, it does look decidedly less clean and organized in the luggage.
- Bottom Line
At the end of the day, the 3000 series hair trimmer is an affordable, portable option that’s worth keeping in your bag when you travel. It’s not the most powerful or most comfortable trimmer I’ve used, but the small size and choice to use a common AA battery for power is very much an acceptable compromise. You could get by with it being your only trimmer, but the MSRP and low-maintenance nature suggests this was made purely as the travel option, and it’s a good one at that. For its price and portability relative to performance, the 3000 series hair trimmer comes recommended!

I really like this multipurpose trimmer, which does a good job than others in the same range. It is easy to use around the eyebrows, ears, nose, and neck hair. It comfortably removes unwanted hair with ease. I always had a problem to trim the nose hair but this product works great & easily removes the unwanted hair. The is lightweight thus gives more control while in use. I have used this multiple times and it works great each time. It is smooth while being in operation without irritating the skin or pulling the hairs. I am quite happy with the performance of this trimmer. The is easy to clean, just rinse it under clean running water. It is lightweight, compact, and portable which makes it easy to carry as well. It comes with a cleaning brush to take off the stuck hair and make it ready to use. It is cost-effective but would be a better product if the battery was rechargeable. Overall a great quality small multi-purpose trimmer that solves all your facial hair problems and keeps you hair-free.

Awesome Trimmer If Ya Gotta Trim

I'll be up front about this: I'm a good candidate to review this trimmer as my unfortunate family DNA has cursed me with hair in/on my ears, in my nose, and some of the bushiest eye brows you've seen short of Eugene Levy (the dad from "American Pie" in case that reference didn't fly).
This is the 2nd trimmer I've owned, the other was some cheap one I got at another retailer which I found to be annoying and uncomfortable due to the pulling when you do your nose and the buzzing when you do your ears. The Philips Norelco 3000 Series Trimmer though is much more enjoyable (if trimming your excess hair can be enjoyable). There is no comfortable way to shave your inner nose, its just a place on my body that I don't enjoy having things pushed inside of. However, this trimmer made it as comfortable as I imagine it can be with little or no perception of pulling. It seems quieter too but I didn't have my old junky one to test side by side.
It comes with an assortment of attachments: the standard head for trimming in general, a long and a short eye brown trimmer attachment, and the safety head for nose and ears. It also includes the AA battery you need to run it and a large fold out instruction and tutorial for the various features it includes.
All in all I would encourage anyone to buy this for their bathroom. It makes keeping yourself looking good as easy and painless as possible and the price can't be beat.

Super affordable and works really well for those stubborn nose hairs and for thinning out eye brows. Philips is my go-to brand for shaving. I was nervous to try out the eye brow tool but it comes with 2 sized guards. I would start with the “bigger” guard first. Works great! Does smell weird in the nose when you use it but if you can get passed that it’s normal. Any electric razor will have that just don’t keep it on too long. Taking a star off because I wish it came with a bag to store all the small tools in. I did however buy a small travel case to store the tools in. Definitely would recommend!

Great Portable Hair Trimmer

You know you're getting old when hair starts growing from places you don't normally expect, like your nose and ears!
I got this unit due to my heavy travel schedule this year because I didn't want to find myself in a position where I had some wild hair sticking out of my nose or ears while sitting in a business meeting. Somewhat distracting and just not an overall good look.
This unit is compact, runs on a common AA battery, and really packs a punch. Unlike cheaper trimmers I've used before, this one actually trims the hair and doesn't yank it out by its roots. It also comes with a hair trimmer and guards so I can get rid of that occasional pesky long eyebrow hair without worrying about cutting my entire eyebrow off and having to resort to my wife's eyebrow pencil and weeks of ridicule from friends and colleagues.

Essential Manscaping Kit

This trimmer is a very nice and affordable hair trimmer. Let me start by saying that I'm one of those guys that doesn't have a very hairy body. So I don't really need too many manscaping tools. I feel this trimmer is good enough for my needs. I trimmed the little bit of nose hairs that stick out past my nostril, i wouldn't recommend going to deep with it. You want to leave some hairs in your nose for health reasons. Those hairs are there for a reason! It did a great job trimming the little tiny unsightly strays. I used the included brow trimming attachment to trim some body hair on my tummy and pelvis without issues. I know this product isn't intended for that, but it works for me. The included trimmer guards are nice and I didn't experience any nicks or cuts with the trimmer. You don't need to apply much pressure, the blades are great and require just the lightest touch to trim your hair. That being said, I could see it being a great tool for trimming your sideburns and a lil facial hair as well. I managed to accidentally drop the trimmer from belly height into a tub half full of water while it was on and it survived! I wouldn't recommend taking it under water but its safe to say that it is water resistant.
It includes two different sized trim guards, an ear and nose trimmer and 1 AA battery to power the trimmer and a cleaning brush. It has excellent build quality and I recommend this if you're like me and just need a small easy to use trimmer for a lil clean up here and there.
Pros - Very nice build quality,

This is good trimmer for the price especially if you’re looking for good nose trimmer. Other trimmers are little under par. It’s battery powered, does not come with case. So if you’re looking for something different kindly look for other options. Overall, am quite satisfied as I was looking for good nose trimmer!
