My last (and only) electric shaver was 20+ years ago, and it did unspeakable things to my face and skin the first time I used it, which was also the last time I used it! This isn't that shaver, in fact, my face feels great! To prep for the shaver, my last shave was a week and a half ago. Being that I have a goatee, I was curious to see how I would have to deal with that. So, I charged the shaver for about an hour then unplugged and fired it up. I made small circles (about the size of a silver half dollar) and didn't apply any pressure - just enough to touch my face. 10 minutes later, my face feels fantastic, but admittedly I had to use a regular razor to detail the edge of my goatee, which seriously wasn't any big deal. I got a little irritation on my adam's apple but nothing compared to the mess that the last shaver made of me. Seriously - great shave, and I look forward to using this again in a couple of days. Great job Philips/Norelco, you've won me over!

So having used Norelco shavers for a very long time, was looking to add this one for my travel bag. The good: It can be used Wet or Dry, Completely cordless (when in use), so can be used in the shower as well as at the sink. Light weight, and had some power to it. Comes with a relatively small charger, and a carrying bag, and a solid cover for the blades. The not-so-good: I found it to be a little loud while shaving, which when compared to my 9000 series shaver, was a little off-putting. It seemed to grab and cut a little more aggressive, but still provided a close shave with no skin issues. Overall, it will do what I wanted it to do: Be that shaver for my travel kit, so I can leave the more frequently used (and more higher end) 9000 shaver at home.

Shaver does what it is supposed to do and works very well.

This is my second Philips electric shaver. The design of this one is nice with a battery indicator, pop-up trimmer and comfortable rubberized grips. I especially like the simple soft travel pouch that is included with this razor as I primarily use electric shavers when I travel. The shave itself is comfortable and as close or closer as any other electric shaver I have tried, but still not quite as close a disposable razor. Clean up is easy, just pop the blades up and rinse under water. Let it dry completely before putting it away. Great shaver from Philips - easy recommendation.

A very nice shaver. It cuts well and as always easy to use.

I've used this shaver now for a couple weeks, as per the instructions suggestion. Pros: Shaves as close as any electric I've used. Occasionally get stubborn beard hairs it has to work to lift and cut. Battery life seems to be pretty good, and charging is rapid, which it needs to be (see cons). Easy to clean, nice grip, and comes with a travel case. Con: Unlike other razors I've had, if drained you can't plug it in and run it. That's because of the wet/dry capability and thus is a safety feature. However, they did make up for (see above) with the quick charge feature, which will get one shave with a 5 minute charge.

I bought the 3500 shaver for my brother. He loves it. No mess and easy to use. I'm brother likes that it not too big and easy to handle. My other brother like it to so I bought one for him too.

It last about 2 years then stop getting charge so I hat buy a new one , it was a surprise I thought it would last more longest.

Just what my husband wanted..price was good, shipping was great. Early Christmas present.

I purchased this model from Best Buy online and picked up at the store. Once I got home I noticed the box looked as if it had been opened at some point and the charging cable was missing. I will have to return and swap it out.

This is a great shaver. Gives me a close shave. I recommend this shaver.

Before I turned 40 as an adult, I had an electric razor. It worked. But the blades became too pricey. So I turned to a myriad of non-power razors and found one of the lesser expensive ones that did a far better job than the electric razor. Fast forward over 15 years and here I am pondering the question of whether I want to keep buying razors or if I should get another electric one. OVERVIEW I charged the razor for 12 hours prior to first use and it showed an indicator bar that was fully lit. I proceeded to use it as I have prior experience knowing how to do, and it worked - but it was not a smooth and close to your face shave that I am accustomed to with a regular three blade razor. Thinking that possibly I wasn't pressing hard enough I really pushed it against my face but the results on the other half of my face was not impressive. The results were the same whether I just glided the unit across my face or whether I gave it extra pressure. I ended up finishing the shave with the three blade razor to get the close and smooth shave that I have expected. I found this shaver to be inefficient to use - I spent more time shaving with it than with the manual razor. I suppose if I were to wait and have a two day growth instead of the one day that I normally have, this might be a more pleasant shave than the manual one, but somehow I doubt that I'd save any time having to come back anyway with the manual razor. This product is disappointing and I don't remember my prior electric razors being this inefficient at shaving. But I know that it isn't the best shave that I can get and I wouldn't recommend it at all.

This is a typical electric razor. At least, with my beard, it takes quite a while to shave. My arm gets tired before I'm done.

I shave daily and have owned Norelco's for 50 years. This one was delivered yesterday, thank you Best Buy! As for this razor, I'm not at all impressed. My shave was dry as are all of my shaves. It took longer than usual and not as smooth as my 7 year old Norelco. I finished my shave with my old razor. The quality of this razor feels cheap compared with the others I have owned. It has a vibration I believe to be coming from the motor and it sounds like it is struggling during the shave. Sorry Philips, maybe next time.
