Customers are saying
Customers are positive about the 7100 Hairclipper's ease of use, long battery life, cordless operation, and quality. Many appreciate its lightweight design, although some find the size and guards somewhat bulky. A few users mentioned that the clipper could benefit from more power. Overall, the positive feedback on ease of use and battery life outweighs the concerns about power and size.

Plugs up.....

Excellent Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to replace my corded Wahl hair clippes and came across the Norelco 7100. I liked the fact that I don't have to change guards and that it cuts very close. The Norelco cuts the hair almost bald just like I like it. You can use it without the guard to get the closest cut. Using it without the guard is perfectly safe. Does not nick or cut. It's very smooth to operate and quite. I would recommend it to everyone.

Best hair clipper I've owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gave it 4 stars because it's not perfect but no doubt I love it. So far the battery life has proven great and lasts much longer than expected. The blade is quiet sharp and cuts my hair easily, even when I let it get longer than usual before a trim. Others have complained about hair clumping in the comb but I haven't experienced anything out of the ordinary compared to trimmers with snap on combs. I can't express how much I love the adjustable comb. It's great to not have to keep swapping out combs to do a fade or keep up with them. The clipper fits great in my hand with the arched neck. What I would like to see are additional combs. It needs a short tined comb to do a better job up close, like the W***, Os***, and An*** trimmers I've owned that used snap on combs. The #0.5, #1, #1.5 combs had tines that were around 0.5cm long which made working up close and around my ears much easier. An adjustable blade would be nice too so you could switch from 0.5mm to a true #0 comb length. I also think it would be great if Norelco made a smaller, detail version on this trimmer with a 1 inch wide cutting blade and scaling the whole thing down to match, although one of their adjustable beard trimmers which I'm eyeing could probably do the job. Other than the comb and making the blade itself adjustable, I can't think of anything I would change.

Not bad....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a bad clipper. Seems to do ok, but I still need to get used to it as I've been using an old style clipper the longest time. The only thing that I'm not thrilled about, is the comb attachment. It has a tendency to clog up with hair and doesn't like to clean itself from it. But, don't let that deter you from buying it. Like all things, takes a little ttime to master it.

Narrow width blade and short life battery
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this product a year and a half ago and I'm glad I bought the Geek Squad protection for it. The blade guard had one of it's teeth broken off 6 months ago and it still worked, but now the battery doesn't have enough of a charge to trim hair. also the blade width is about 25% narrower than most hair trimmers so it takes longer to complete a haircut. The only thing I really liked about it was not having to switch out guards because the guard size can be adjusted on the trimmer. Oh, and don't forget to double the number on the guard to whatever you used before. For example, most 1/4" guards are a #2 on hair trimmers, but if you put this trimmer on a #2 setting it's closer to 1/8".

Super smooth
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This clipper cuts thru hair super smoothly and I was impressed with the low level of noise. Definitely recommend it! The one minor point is the clip to control cut height is very long and the cutting edge, making it useable for trimming beards.

Downgrade vs 3 Years ago
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this model about 3 years ago, that's how long the it lasted. For reference, the one before that lasted about 10 years. When you take off the blade assembly to clean it, it has a plastic eccentric piece to move the blades. This piece broke or at least lost it's fit to the blades after a couple of usages. The old fitting wasn't great and had to be constantly fiddled with, but was at least metal, to last more than a couple of times. It's going back.
