My boyfriend used this product and his head looked like someone pranked him by cutting his hair with a pair of clippers while he was sleeping...He literally had patches of hair after we went at his head for over an hour!!! I circled over the same patch of hair for 30 minutes and it still didn't shave it off. And we made sure to use electric shave and shaving gel! We ended up having to use a straight razor to shave his head. Do not buy this product!!! Ways over priced and terrible quality! 7 years ago we had the same brand, same series, lower model number (cheaper Walmart version) and it worked 1000× better up until it broke recently, so we bought this one...Still on the hunt.

I had purchased two of the 7000 series before purchasing this one. Both of the 7000 series broke with in a couple months. I though maybe the more expensive version would be of better quality. No, they all have the same attachment system for the head. The head is held to the body of the razor by a cheap box-shaped wire that eventually wears out the plastic groove on the head that holds it in place, and the wire will loosen up as well. The result is that after a couple/few months of taking the head on and off to use the trimmer attachment, the head will fall over off multiple times while trying to shave. It just gets worse and worse until it's absolutely unusable. It's a shame because otherwise it's a very decent razor. Philips just needs to make a simple clamp system to hold it in place rather than a cheap friction release. It's just a poor design. I'll never buy any of the Philips razors similar in design until they modify it because it's just a waste of money (luckily mine were all under warranty through Best Buy).

He said it only shaved the bony parts of his face, jawline, chin, and head. If there were soft tissue it didn't make a neat trim. Probably would not recommend this product for the price.
