First time using an electric shaver and WOW! Super easy to use and clean afterwards. I shave about every other day & it leaves my skin smooth. I dry shave & do not get skin irritation.

As a Retired Senior Citizen, I have been using Norelco electric shavers for many years. I purchased my previous one in 2010. It still runs well except the battery is starting to get weak after 15 years of everyday use! Now it's ready for head replacement. Best Buy had this i9000 on sale, so I purchased it immediately. I am extremely happy, the best shaver I have ever owned. Great shave, great shaver. I highly recommend this Philips Norelco i9000 Prestige Ultra Shaver. So, go out and buy one now, you will not be disappointed!

The i9000 Prestige Ultra is a really nice high-end shaver that provides a really close and comfortable shave, along with a handy guide light. The app, while I still think it is a bit superfluous, has some helpful customization features and fortunately you can enjoy everything the shaver has to offer without it. The box for this particular model includes the shaver, trimmer attachment, travel case, charging stand, charging cable, and a cleaning brush. Based on the manual there are other versions of this shaver that include a different variety of accessories and this one seems to be one of the more basic bundles. The charging cable does not include an AC adapter, which is disappointing. The cable ends at a USB-A connection and that in itself isn’t bad, but the side that goes into the shaver is still proprietary, so you’ll need to make sure you pack that specific cable with it if you’re traveling. If they were going to go with a USB charging cable I wish they had gone the extra step and made the connection on the shaver and the base USB-C so you could use any cable to charge it. The i9000 is an excellent shaving experience. The shaving heads cover a large area and easily contour to my face. I’ve been using the regular shaving mode and it provides a very close shave with very little irritation. The built-in ring light provides feedback on whether or not you’re putting too much or not enough pressure on your face and it can also be customized for motion as well. It’s also very easy to clean and can be rinsed under the sink or brushed clean with the included mini brush. I will say this is not a shaver made for people with beards and it doesn’t offer a ton of precision. For something like that I’ll go back to my OneBlade. The app seemed like an unnecessary extra to me at first and for the most part it is, but it does offer some helpful customization on the default shaving state and what the ring light indicates. It shows the estimated life left on the shaving heads and the approximate number of shaves left on the current charge level. It also has a guided shave program built in, which I haven’t tried. The battery life after the first few days has been great and this will easily last a week, maybe two, without needing to charge. It takes a bit of the sting out of the charging cable situation. Overall I’m happy with the i9000 Prestige Ultra and I think it has a lot of nice features for its price. I do wish there was a little bit more in the way of accessories, but you can also spring for a different version of it.

Absolutely Love this electric shaver. I can't use a razor because I'll bump up badly. I'm a 69yr old Black man and started shaving around 17/18. I've had many shavers in my lifetime but none have given me a razor,cut,smooth shave like the Phillips Prestige Ultra i9000. It's also by far the most expensive shaver I've ever bought at $280. It cuts so well that I don’t have to keep going over my face as much as I did with my previous shavers. I do feel a little more irritation from shaving because the shave is so close but it's not bad and my face will need to become accustomed to the blades over time. My last shaver was a Phillips brand but I think I only paid about $80 for it 12/15yrs ago and it's still working with the original battery. I did change the blades. Hopefully this shaver will last as long. It also has Bluetooth,senses motion,has an App you can download,all the bells and whistles. Can't say enough good things about this shaver! Would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I exclusively use electric razors, and once your face is “conditioned” I don’t think you can beat the comfort and results of a high-quality rotary razor. I consider the Norelco i9000 Prestige Ultra the best rotary razor available today! The shaving head is slightly smaller than previous versions, and the material has been formulated to reduce drag. The shaver is ergonomically designed and a joy to hold, mainly due to the contoured case. The shaving head is removable and can be replaced with the included trimmer attachment, which eliminates the “boxy” feel that most shavers have since there’s no “pop-up” trimmer. Aside from the razor, shaving head, and trimming head, there is a charging stand, cleaning brush, and charging cord (not a power supply) included. There is no USB-A power block included for the charging cord or standard AC cord, but the cord from my older Norelco also fits the razor. This unit does not include the cleaning base, so if you don’t have one be prepared for a regular “clean razor” notification on the razor’s display panel. Aside from self-sharpening blades, the razor has a blade coating stated to reduce friction by 50%. Five shaving modes can be selected including sensitive, regular, intense, foam shaving, and custom controlled by a selector on the razor. There is an included power adapt sensor that adjusts the razor speed/power based on the density of your beard. You can also select a light guidance mode where lights around the edge of the razor will indicate whether you are effectively shaving and coach you for better shaver performance. The razor also connects via Bluetooth to their app which gives shaving insights as well as tracking razor usage. I’ve been using mine daily for a week, and the battery level is still above 90%, which includes running it in the cleaner after each use.

Great shave. My husband used a Norelco electric razor for many years. When it finally fell apart, i ordered this upgraded model. He is very happy with it. It gives a very close shave and holds the charge for a long time. The light sensor for pressure is a nice feature, buts takes some getting use to. Comes with a nice travel case.

I get a good shave and it is easy to clean.recharges quickly

I bought S9000 Prestige directly from Philips almost one month ago and really liked it. After seeing this new version, I returned my original S9000 Prestige. This i9000 Prestige Ultra is much better in my opinion. The pressure sensor feature is amazing. The app keeps track of the Blade wear and tear plus the number of days remaining for the cleaning cartridge. It does not come with a cleaning cartridge so I had to buy it separately. I am using the same quick clean pod amd cartridge as S9000 Prestige. It works and cleans flawlessly. I also feel this new version provides a much better and close shave than S9000. Plus this new version is more silent. I would highly recommend.

Looks sleek, doesnt pull beard and is quiet. Got it as a gift for dad and just what is needed to replace razor buying.

While I haven't started using the app yet, the shaver, using shaving gel, is giving me the closest, smoothest, quickest shaves I've ever had. Definite thumbs up. It charges rather quickly as well. The trimmer is adequate for leveling side-burns, etc. but I honestly use a dedicated personal groomer for cutting/shaving hair. But all said, I like the shaver enough to say even though it's not cheap, I really like this shaver ... worth the money.

First time using a rotary shaver and very happy with it. Decided to try this shaver after 10 years with a Braun Series 9 as that unit is starting to break down and wanted to try the Philips. Positives are: It's so much quieter than the Braun and when recently traveling with my family on vacation I was able to get up and shave while they were still sleeping vs with the Braun being so loud, I had to wait until they were up. Does a really good job of cutting all the facial hair and have yet to have it miss anything and end up with any long growth hairs. The light indicator that informs you if you’re using too little or too much pressure and moving it correctly in the circular motion is very helpful for the transition to a rotary shaver. Also, that it connects via Bluetooth to the Philips GroomTribe app that assists with that information too and can be used to configure the shaver. These both helped me to transition to a rotary shaver as a lifelong foil shaver user. I’ve now been able to reduce my shaving time to about three minutes as a result that is much faster than when using a foil shaver. An item to be aware of is that the Bluetooth connection does tend to drain the battery faster so when traveling and not connecting to a charger daily be sure to put the shaver in travel mode when not shaving. Overall I’m very happy with this shaver and recommend it.

Bought this shaver for my teenage son and he has used it a few times so far – he’s very happy with it. The Philips Norelco i9000 Prestige Ultra gives a smooth, comfortable shave, works perfectly for both wet and dry use, and the battery lasts long with convenient USB-C charging. Premium feel and excellent performance – highly recommend!

I purchased this for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. I did a great deal of research to find a shaver that gave a close shave and was comfortable. The shavers we purchased before were a great deal less costly. I had my doubts. The shaver is amazing and worth every penny. My boyfriend says it is the closest and most comfortable shave that he has ever experienced. Great jog Best Buy!

I’ve tried a lot of electric shavers over the years, and the Philips Norelco i9000 is easily the best I’ve ever used. I’ve always had sensitive skin, so most dry shavers leave me with irritation, razor burn, or just an overall uncomfortable shave—but not this one. The i9000 is incredibly gentle while still delivering a very close, clean shave. It glides smoothly over my skin without pulling or tugging, and I’ve noticed a huge difference in how my face feels afterward—no redness, no bumps, just smooth skin. Even on days when my skin is more sensitive than usual, it still performs consistently well. Another thing I appreciate is how efficient it is. It cuts evenly and quickly, so I don’t have to go over the same spot multiple times, which usually causes irritation for me with other shavers. Overall, if you have sensitive skin and struggle to find a dry shaver that actually works without causing irritation, I highly recommend the Philips Norelco i9000. It’s been a game changer for me.

Ive always had precious versions of this Norelco shavers, and i also have several braun 9 series shaver, but this model tramps them all. From its ergonomics to shaving quality this shaver delivera superior quality in both aspects. The only down side is the quality of the shaver itself where it seems a little bit less quality than its predessessor models.

Effective, comfortable and user friendly. Shave lasts, easy to clean. It enhances shaving experience in overall.

An amazing shaver that gives a face a smooth shave! I can stop buying blades and just reuse this Philips after every wash! Only disappointed thing was that for this price one would think it would bring an adapter…yet it didnt.

I promise you, i have a larger list of these products, with the One Shaver as my go to shave with. I even bought the expensive Braun Electric shaver kit that supposed to have the highest reviews. With the exception of the former, none of these products did not work for my type of hair. I would say that this product is extremely high, but it's the first time i actually develop confidence in a electric razor. I like to keep my face clean and i shave my head bald at least once a week, but with this product, it shaves so easy, all i have to do is run it through my head or face and it's smooth as baby skin.
