    Only used 3 or 4 times, then power button turn itself on back by itself in closet, and stay on. won't turn off, the device seems to have a manufacturer defect. Creepy

      Thanks for taking the time to bring this to our attention here. We do regret to hear that you're unsatisfied with the quality of the multi-groomer and that is has stopped working after 3 months. That should not happen of course and we'd very much like to see how we can help out.

      It is possible that the battery of your Philips Groomer has run out. We advise you to fully charge your groomer and then try turning it on again. We also recommend oiling your groomer regularly. You can put a drop of oil on the teeth of the cutting element of your groomer. You can use the oil provided in the packaging or any other sewing machine oil. Another thing that could help is to clean your groomer regularly in order for it to function properly. Hair or debris can get stuck in the device and affect its performance. Please clean your trimmer as per manual.

    I have been Philips for decades but this product is sub par and of poor quality. Its not charging and stopped working after 2 weeks and I am asking for refund.

    In just a little over a month it started turning on by itself. Did that until it ran out of charge and then stopped working completely. Does not take a charge. Do not buy.

    This Philips Norelco 5000 is a great buy. It’s many accessories are excellent and the device cuts without pulling hairs or feeling uncomfortable. The accessories are easy to clean with a simple rinse in the sink and the battery didn’t let me down. If you are looking to trim your beard, mustache, neck or hair in and around your ears and nose, this will absolutely not disappoint.

    I’ve tried many trimmers and always go back to Norelco. The motor is strong and the blades are sharp, cutting through my beard and hair like a hot knife through butter. There is a nice selection of guards that snap on the blades rather than one adjustable guard. This is not a problem for me as I generally use one length and put the rest in the bag. The Multigroom 5000 also comes with an additional wider blade for cutting hair, a precision blade which is about a half inch wide for detail trimming and a round blade for trimming ear and nose hair. The trimmer is rechargeable and says a full charge will provide about 3 hours of run time. The first charge is still going strong with over a week of daily beard trimming. You can also use it with the cord which is a really nice feature should you forget to charge it. Speaking of charging, my only complaint about this trimmer is there is no charging indicator. You simply plug it in for an hour and it’s supposed to be good to go. Watch out when you open the package, most of the guards are packaged under the tray and will fall to the floor if you just slide it out. Pros: 3 hour run time on a one hour charge Corded use when needed Sharp blades & strong motor 4-year warranty Price/value Cons: No charging indicator Lots of pieces. Packaging I highly recommend this trimmer!
