|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I opened up the Multigroom trimmer and immediately something plastic hit the floor. This unit has a bunch of trim guards as well as 3 trimmer blades. I has the normal one that's installed on the unit, a wider blade for larger areas and a precision blade that's nice and small. After the overload of pieces, the one thing I don't like is that there isn't a led light that signals when it's charged. That said, the manual states a 5 minute charge is usually sufficient for a single face grooming. I just like fully charging batteries before I drain them. Otherwise, this is a great little trimmer. There's the round nose attachment that I prefer over the flat ones. It does take a second to figure out how to switch blades, the illustration in the manual leaves much to be desired. If you place your thumb on the back of the blade and your index finger under the cutting blade surface, lift up with your index finger and it takes a bit of effort, but it pops off so you can interchange the 3 blades. If you're looking for something to clean up around the ears and nose, trim your mustache, beard or those mad scientist eyebrows, this is your tool.

If you have very thick or long hair on your head and/or beard your Philips Groomer will require more effort to trim or cut them. In this case, the groomer’s battery may run out quicker than usual. To ensure you have enough battery for a full trimming session, use a fully charged groomer. Make sure also that the trimmer is free from hair or debris, as this can affect its performance. You can find out how to clean your trimmer in user manual of the appliance. We hope these tips will help improve your experience. Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear your multi-groomer doesn't seem to turn on anymore. Please make sure to clean your device thoroughly, as debris or hair stuck inside may prevent it from working. Also, please keep the trimmer in charge for at least one hour. This should ensure up to 3 hours battery life. Please also note that using the product at temperatures below 40°F (4,5°C) or higher than 95°F (35°C) adversely affects the lifespan of the battery.

Norelco Doesn't Disappoint

Some of the clippers out there jam with thick human hair or with ethnic hair that may be dry. This product works well for on a variety of hair types. My daughter has very thick hair and it did a great job with neckline, sides and even a shave above her neckline in the back. My husband has thin hair, so he used a good number of adapters that come with the unit for his styling needs. My daughter loves the attachments and my husband knows how to use them all, so we were very happy with the outcome.

Great clipper for the price

And I must say it hasn't disappointed me. The only thing that I wished was it had an adjuster within itself rather than different trimming guards but I think that actually defeats the purpose of having this clipper. The 5000 series is way more powerful, taking fewer passes to get the job done. I'm also more precise with this than other trimmers I've used. I don't know if it's the design, the awesome grip, the angle of the blade, or something else - but I'm certainly better with this one. The multitude of cutter heads and depth guides is a big plus for this unit. Not only do they give you versatility, but suitability as well. Sometimes these things get dropped, and if you are unlucky they land on the cutter end and the guide and/or cutter head gets broken. At least this one might still carry on serving some useful purpose after such an event. Also, I remember having a trimmer with an adjustable guide at some point over the years. I dumped it quickly because there was a real danger of the guide shifting adjustment -- towards the shorter end of things -- in mid stroke. The attachments are easy to clip on and remove, but fit snugly with no wiggle when in use. I do wish the length range had another option or two on the long end, but I expect I'll be able to find more attachments elsewhere.

The ones I did use were very easy to interchange and did their job great. The charge time is super quick and the batter lasts you a long time. Has a convenient bag for travel use as well. Overall a great product.
