Philips Norelco - Multigroom 9000 Trimmer with 13 Guide Combs - Black I am very impressed with this Philips trimmer. It really feels like quality as soon as you hold it. Sometimes you can just tell from that first impression. There is so much to like here and few gripes. There has got to be enough attachments included that you can easily use or try out to fit almost anyone's needs. Once you have changed the trimmer head it becomes very easy from then on to try all that’s included. The instructions for every kind of trimming is trying to fit a lot of information in a not so easy to read one page manual. But it does give you enough information that a follow up video search might be all you need take advantage of it other capabilities, like haircuts. I really like the trimmer now here is my one gripe. I think this trimmer should be using a type USB-C power supply. It does support a type of quick charging so USB might not have met the trimmers needs. Smart USB power supplies are available and it would have really been nice to have seen one included here. Every indication is that type USB-C will be the internal standard. Philips has been a leader setting standards on many products over the years and I would have really liked to see that here. Part of the features you get here is the large case it comes with. You can travel with all accessories and the power supply with how big the case is. And if you don’t travel much at least you can keep everything together. So it is all here in this one package. I think you should expect to get years of service out of this trimmer.

This trimmer simply just doesnt cut close to the skin at all. My Wahl Peanut worked so much better for getting a close shave. Im bald, and hate razor blades, so i need anelectric razor that cuts close to the skin.

My first impression of the Norelco Multigroom 9000 was that it seemed to be a professional quality trimmer. It felt solid and substantial without being too heavy. There are almost an overwhelming number of attachments; some were so similar that it was hard for me to tell the difference between them. The one thing I expected to find in the box was a charging stand. This seemed like kind of big omission for something of such high quality. It charged up very quickly and was ready for use. Using the trimmer is very straightforward and the attachments are very easy to swap out for whatever your trimming needs are. I found that this trimmer worked very well for my typical needs; sideburns, eye brows, over the ears and nose. On all counts it worked extremely well. If you like to keep the hair on your head relatively short, you could use this trimmer for a haircut as well although I haven’t tried it yet. I am tempted you give it a try when I am ready for my next trim. Overall this is the best trimmer I have every used. It cuts clean lines effortlessly and feels like a top quality device. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a trimmer.

I’ve been using the Philips Norelco Multigroom 900 trimmer for about two weeks now, and all I can say is, where have you been all my life! I have been wearing a beard for about 30 years, and over that time I have bought and used several trimmers of various brands. All have been adequate, and I have always gone for the lower-cost models figuring that a trimmer is a trimmer is a trimmer, and all that the more expensive models give you is perhaps longer battery life and more features. But I assumed that the basic beard-trimming and such functions would be pretty much identical in effectiveness regardless of price level. I was wrong, and I wish had known this in 1987. I have put this trimmer through its paces, and I am impressed. It excels in three areas that the lower-cost trimmers can’t touch. First, its feel. It has a metal body instead of the usual plastic, it has a good heft, and it just feels better in your hand. Second, the preciseness of the resulting beard length depending on the fitting chosen is superb. I like a close shave leaving the beard short as it will grown in before I know it, and I’ve never wanted a big, bushy beard, so I do a trim usually every four to five days. This trimmer comes with more attachments than you can shake a stick at, which you would expect at this price level, and the one I prefer for the beard length I want works beautifully. Very quickly and with little effort, I get a good-looking beard trim. All of this goes along with the third area where this trimmer excels, which is in the closeness that can be achieved with the actual trimmer itself with no attachments. I like a clean line between the end of my beard on my neck and the bare skin below, so I want as close a shave as possible on the bare skin areas. No trimmer I’ve used until now did this all that well. The cutters on the lower-cost models are coarse, leaving hairs of various lengths and requiring you to go over the same area multiple times. This can irritate my skin if I do it too much. Not so with this Philips Norelco 9000. The trim is as close as any razor blade could give, and only one pass over the skin is required. It was such a pleasure to use this trimmer that I only wished I had more facial area to shave! As noted, at this price level, many attachments are included for every kind of shaving need (beard, nose-hair, mustache, eyebrows, body hair). It is also waterproof and can be used in the shower. It has a lithium-ion battery giving a long life between charges. It comes with a good-sized (to hold all those attachments!), solid-cover carrying/storage case. I gave the trimmer to my wife to use to shave her legs so I could get her comments on how well it performs in that regard, and she pronounced it as good as any shaver she has used. I can’t recommend this trimmer highly enough. You’ll spend a little money, but you will enjoy the experience more than you ever thought possible every time you need to do something to maintain your body hair.

This produce was just ok. I bought it to use for my beard, but, honestly, it just had too many parts to keep track of. It also seemed to pull through my beard instead of just cutting it.

      Hi Techman,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are sorry to hear that your experience with our Multigroomer was just ok. If you are having trouble with the groomer pulling on your beard, then we recommend oiling the teeth of the device with the oil provided, sewing machine oil will do as well.
If you have any questions about any of the attachments, please feel free to get in touch via social media.

The Philips Norelco - Multigroom 9000 Trimmer is perfect for me. The design makes the trimmer very easy to use and cordless feature provides optimal portability. I really appreciate the included attachments. You can easily remove and attach blades/guards as desired during a shave. The guards are perfect for achieving the desired style for the beard, mustache, or hairline. One of my favorite guards is the groomer for nostril hair. Really works well. The battery life is great. I don't typically spend more than 20 - 25 minutes shaving and the battery accommodates that easily with plenty of power to spare. I take it with me when I travel because it's really lite and compact. All the accessories fit neatly in the included case. Makes for a great travel companion. I recommend the Philips Norelco - Multigroom 9000 Trimmer.
