okay but not for thicker beards

this razor is okay for lighter beards but for thicker beards like mine it tends to kinda bog down a bit. I have to spend a lot more time going over the same area to get most of the hair and it snags and pulls on the hairs uncomfortably

It's an electric razor, why would I want to use it in water or with shaving cream?! Can't use it plugged in. Heads don't adjust up and down for closeness of shave, which they haven't done in years. No carrying case to hold the power cord and brushes, along with the razor. I would give a conditional recommendation if someone asked. I've tried Remington, still prefer Norelco.

As good as the razor I had hoped to replace

I thought my razor needed replacing. Tried both foil and rotating heads. Neither performed any better as far as a smooth shave, than the heads on my existing razor. A blade is still the best, but inconvenient.

Ok but getting a close shave requires using it wet

I've been using Remington foil style shavers for several years and wanted to try this style. I know it takes time for your face to be "conditioned" to the shaver, but I've been using this for over 3 weeks and I cannot get a close shave using it dry; well, not as close as a Remington. Since the Norelco can be used wet, I tried it with just wet skin and no real improvement. Wet skin AND shave cream seams to make it easier to get what I consider "close".

I have had several Norelco razor previously and I would prefer this brand for its quality and all my previous models work while plugged in the outlet (you don't have to wait until gets charged). This item description does not state clearly in the outer packaging or in the BB specs that would not work directly while plugged in the outlet as many of my previous Phillips- Norelco razors do.

After shave looks good but I felt irritation after a shave, may be i never use to shave in reverse direction. It is good fit for daily shavers.

Bought this shaver for my son it does a nice job shaving but it's no longer holding a charge. I'm a little disappointed, thought it would have lasted longer he is getting a new shaver for Christmas.

Entry level shaver from Philips. Nothing to wow over. If you’re looking a for cheap shaver, this is it.

Never used an electric razor before so nothing to compare it to but after several months I still don’t feel like it gives me a close shave.

This Shaver is a waste of money. It leaves hair and does not give you a close shave. Whether it is wet or dry, the results are the same

This is an adequate razor for a boy's first shaver. Not adjustable. I thought Norelco was a quality brand. It is a good for shower shaver. Adequate is best I can say about the razor. 3 stars.

If you have to give up razor blades for a while this will do ok until you can go back to razor blades. Really wish I could find a really good electric razor.

I bought this to avoid blade cutting surgery scars, but it doesn't cut clean, takes multiple passes to even get close.

This is my first new electronic razor in 15 years. I was hoping for some improvements since 1998, but not with this one. It does the job but you still have to go in with a regular razor and get what it missed.

Not the best, it’s just cheap and get the job done. Prefer something better. It’s not as smooth as it should be.

This shaver is the most disappointing shaver I have bought from Philips Norelco. I have used Norelco shavers with similar designs since I had a beard. This is the first one that I feel is a poor design. The back trimmer feels dull and seems to rip more than cut the hairs. I am thinking of switching back to the old shaver as it works better.

Shaving on the side of the face and mustache area is fine but have to use a razor on the neck area afterwards to get a close shave.

I thought it’s the best...... it’s average only, sometimes you need too repeat the already shaved hairs.
