I am not happy with this purchase. I believe the shaver is a an open box item or may be even a return. The box corners are massed up. Manual corner is folded. I have not exchange or return it yet due to covid 19 plus very long waiting line.

I have a beard so I just wanted a razor to shave my neck and trim a little. You can use it wet and with shave cream. I tried it dry and it just tore my neck up, scratches and marks all over. I can use it wet with shave cream, but then it's not too close. I wish I didn't buy it.

Nice looking with rubberized non slip grip. The shave feels closer than my other Norelco. I do like the sideburn/beard trimmer being attached and not having to switch out the shaver heads in order to use it. Although it is a little louder using it. I would have liked a swivel head to contour better. Requires a little more pressure to have the shaving heads to follow your facial features. But over all it is a nice little shaver for a lower mid price unit. It's a keeper.

Razor worked well for short time, recharged and used ok. Now razor will not recharge. Needs to be brought back for replacement. Found problem in less than a month of using it. I did not have time to make the return but plan to very soon.

Not a good razer purchased to replace older 3000 series razer. Does not shave well. Bit me twice while shaving causing my lip to bleed twice. Threw away and bought replacement heads for the old razer.

I have used Norelco electric shavers for several years with good to excellent results. This shaver does not shave as well or as comfortably as the others.

Requires multiple passes to get most of the black hair. Even more to get SOME of the gray hair. Have to use the beard trimer to get even a half a..ed shave!

      Hi there,

Thank you for sharing your review here. We're sorry to hear that the shave did not go as smooth as you hoped it would. We highly recommend letting the shaver slide over the beard in relatively slow and circular motions to make sure that the blades can reach all the hairs. You can also try to alternate between wet & dry shave to see which ones works best. Hopefully, this will improve your shaving experience.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch via social media. We’re available 24/7 on Facebook (@Philips) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare). Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further.

    Great shaver

This shaver is a replacement shaver. It provides as close a shave as any electric shaver on the market. It has a popup trimmer to trim my sideburns, but it can obviously be used to trim a mustache or beard as well. The battery lasts for over a week, which is an improvement from my last Norelco shaver, plus it's quieter! I recommend it without reservations.

I tried to shave using this but it was just running over my face without doing any work. My beard are really hard and this shaver is not able to do anything. I am going to return it. Now I know, why it was on discount.

Worked fine for the first few shaves. Then it stopped cutting even though the blades are spinning. Great ergonomics but it no longer does anything useful.

Does the job. Nice smooth shave with or without shaving cream, but gave me some razor burn below the chin and neck. Easy to clean. The trimmer on the back doesn’t cut that close so I still had to use another groomer to finish the job. Battery fully charges in about 90 mins, but also has a quick charge for about 5 min shave.

    Good Clean Shave

From the time that I got this electric shaver, I have used it about 5 times and have received mixed results. The shaver for me worked best with minimal stubble. I was able to get a good clean shave without having to supplement a razor. When I had grown out my beard, the electric shaver didn't do so well on it's own but the advantage of owning this electric shaver is the trimmer that extends out. When I would trim the beard and then shave it, I got the best results and got a good clean shave. I only had one time when it needed to use a razor afterwards because the electric shaver would not provide the clean shaven look. Overall, this is a good electric shaver with enough battery life to last multiple uses before charging. It is easily cleanable and can be used in the shower. I would recommend it to my friends but it is also nothing too special that can't be replaced easily in the near future.

      Hi there,

Thank you for leaving this review. We're sorry to hear that your Shaver died, especially after such a short amount of time. If your device isn't turning on anymore, it is possible that there are hair or dirt particles stuck inside it. This may cause the shaving heads to be blocked. To resolve this issue, we suggest trying to properly clean your shaver. If possible, please remove the shaving head and clean your shaver from the inside as well. For detailed cleaning instructions, please refer to your user manual.

If the issue persists after cleaning the device thoroughly, we encourage you to get in touch via social media. We’re available 24/7 on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Philips/) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare). Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further.

This shaver is a great introductory shaver if you don;t want to spend a lot of money. It cleans easy and doesn't require expensive cleaner. FOr the money, its a great value. It shaves well, but not as good a a blade. Can be used wet or dry which is a plus. I think its just as good as their expensive models.

The new Norelco AT811 shaver is a very affordable shaver and it does a good job. I have had many different electric shavers in my life, from cheap to very expensive. This shaver is on the less expensive side and I think it brings great value with it. I didn't get a razor clean shave with it but visually the shave was very good. The shaver was very quiet and had a nice glide over my face. I used it dry and also in the shower with my shaving gel. If you put on some shaving gel, it's like skating on ice, very smooth. Clean up was a breeze too. Just run it under some hot water and let it dry. In addition to the shaver, it comes with a Precision Trimmer. I found that it also did a good job. It allowed me to trim my sideburns and my mustache around my lips. It did not actually shave my mustache, however. So I still need another tool for that. The shaver fits very well in my hands. Nice a grippy with curves in the right places. Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised that I could get a shave this good with a shaver this inexpensive.
